Richardson impressed during his limited run and ended with a bench-high nine points for Orlando. The Michigan State product is not guaranteed to play meaningful minutes on a nightly basis, though he could see increased playing time if Suggs is forced to miss additional time.

Richardson ended Wednesday's 114-112 loss to the Spurs with eight points (3-5 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 16 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Richardson seems to have moved up in the depth chart, playing at least 10 minutes in his last three games and averaging 11.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.3 threes in that span. Time will tell if this role boost will last, but Richardson is definitely worth monitoring in deeper leagues, especially if an injury were to occur to Orlando's backcourt.

Richardson saw a sizable increase in opportunities given a thin Magic backcourt. He was averaging 4.4 minutes in five November appearances entering Sunday but logged a season-high 21 minutes in the loss, scoring in double figures for the first time in his young NBA career. Richardson could eventually carve out a consistent role in Orlando's rotation, but for the time being, he'll presumably move out of the fold once Jalen Suggs (knee) is cleared to return.

Richardson came up empty in the scoring column for the fifth straight game, having played limited minutes to this point in his young career.
