Doc Rivers praised Jared Sullinger's basketball IQ after the rookie had 16 points, seven boards, a steal and a block in Tuesday's win. "Jared gets his [points] with IQ. I didn't run one play for Jared tonight," Rivers said. Paul Pierce added that Sullinger "understands the position and takes advantage of the opportunities." Owners in deeper formats should keep an eye on him over his next few games.

Jared Sullinger tied his career-high with 16 points off Boston's bench on Tuesday, making 6-of-7 FGs and 4-of-6 FTs with seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block. Sully logged nearly 32 minutes, which also set a new career-high. This seems like a Christmas miracle more than the beginning of a trend, considering that the rookie PF hadn't scored more than seven points in a game all month.

Jared Sullinger is dealing with the flu, but he's expected to play on Friday. Sullinger was sick on Wednesday, and it's expected to carry over into Friday. Doc Rivers praised the rookie's ability for his ability to "throw his body around" beneath the basket as well as his basketball IQ, but he's only eclipsed 20 minutes of playing time in one game since November 21. It's worth noting that Sullinger has five blocks over his last two games, but until he gets more consistent playing time, just keep an eye on him.

Celtics rookie Jared Sullinger made 7-of-12 FGs off the bench on Sunday, finishing with 16 points and five rebounds in 27 minutes. Boston's bench was aired out a bit in the second half, as the deficit ballooned to 15+ points, so we're not reading much into Sullinger's big night. He came into this game averaging 3.9 points and 4.1 rebounds.

Jared Sullinger posted his first career double-double on Saturday with 12 points and 11 boards in 26 minutes. He set career highs points, rebounds and field goal attempts in the friendly matchup. While garbage time did help a bit, he already had 10 points and nine rebounds before Doc Rivers pulled his starters. You can just keep an eye on him for now.

Jared Sullinger was replaced in the starting lineup by Brandon Bass on Saturday, and he wound up playing just seven minutes off the bench. The rookie could start Boston's next game, for all we know, but he's obviously not a viable fantasy option in Doc Rivers' topsy-turvy frontcourt rotation.

Jared Sullinger will start Friday's game against the Sixers, with Brandon Bass coming off the bench. This is beginning to look like a pattern, though Bass is still outplaying the rookie and has more value between the two.

Jared Sullinger started for the Celtics on Wednesday and had four points, four rebounds and one block in 24 minutes, while Brandon Bass came off the bench for 11 points and seven rebounds in 33 minutes. Bass is probably still the starter on most nights, but Doc Rivers appears to be bent on shaking it up from game to game. Bass is clearly the better player to own, but his lack of blocks is a problem, especially if owners don't know when he's going to start and when he's going to come off the bench. If you've got your eye on a hot free agent, make the move.

Jared Sullinger is back in the starting lineup for the Celtics against the Wizards on Wednesday. That means Brandon Bass will come off the bench again tonight. Sullinger and Bass could end up alternating starts for some time, but Bass still has more fantasy value right now. However, Sullinger is the guy with the upside and untapped potential.

In his first NBA start on Saturday, Jared Sullinger had four points, seven rebounds, one steal and one block in 30 minutes. Brandon Bass played 27 minutes in a bench role, while Jeff Green scored 11 points in 15 minutes. Doc Rivers' gang attack gives him greater control over matchups, and should keep guys rested throughout the season, but it's already giving fantasy owners migraines. Sullinger will likely head back to a bench role before long, and he's not a recommended pickup.
