Excluding foul trouble, Sullinger's minutes have held up prior to this game and Doc Rivers does like him, but he's not quite worth owning in standard leagues for his lack of upside and constant fouling issues.

He's been given the chance to succeed and he's worth a look for owners that are seeking some rebounding.

He leads the NBA in games in which he's fouled out and he ranks first in the league in fouls per 48 minutes (minimum 15 minutes per game). The Celtics rank dead last in the NBA for rebounds per game and in total rebounding rate, so they're in dire need for a guy that can pull down boards like Sullinger. He's not much of a shot blocker and he has to lower his fouls, but he's worth a look for owners looking to add a big man.

The love affair fantastyland was having with Sullinger is quickly dying, as he's averaging 6.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and a block in 21.5 minutes over his last two games, and is having trouble staying out of foul trouble. He'll bounce back, but these two lines (after double-doubles in two straight) are a reminder that he's a rookie playing for Doc Rivers, and is not a lock for steady minutes or production, especially coming off the bench behind Brandon Bass, and unable to keep his hands to himself.

He shot 4-of-4 from the field and this game puts him at 77.2 percent in his last three games. Sullinger battled foul trouble in the first half with three fouls in only five minutes, which seems like it could be his biggest obstacle to produce. It's a disappointing start for a hot pickup like Sullinger, but he should be considered as a hold.

Jared Sullinger had his second double-double in a row on Friday with 14 points and 11 boards in 27 minutes before fouling out in the win over the Rockets. Doc Rivers continues to pile on the praise for Sullinger. "Sullinger was a bad player for one day -- the draft. Other than that, he's always been a good player," Rivers said. He did foul out which is concerning since he had 8.9 fouls per 48 mins in December and has a worrisome 8.0 in January before tonight. Sully shot 7-of-8 from the floor and is worth picking up in some standard formats.

Jared Sullinger had a career-high 16 boards to go with 12 points, one steal and one block in 34 minutes against the Suns on Wednesday. The 34 minutes were also a career high for him in his best game as a pro. Doc River has been insinuating that he wants to play Sullinger more, but couldn't due to his stamina. "He's not actually fat. He's round. But he has great feet," Rivers said after the game. We wouldn't quite call this his coming out party just yet and Rivers can run some messy frontcourt rotations, but he's firmly on the radar in standard leagues. Brandon Bass (six points and five boards in 27 minutes) struggled on Wednesday to make Sullinger's outlook even better.

Jared Sullinger played just 19 minutes against the Knicks on Monday and had 10 points, five boards and one block. Doc Rivers has pointed out on several occasions that he wants to play Sullinger more and it's easy to see why with his presence in the paint. He's picking up steam with 24.2 minutes per game in his five contests before tonight, but he obviously has a long way to go to get into the standard league discussion.

The Celtics got a spark from Jared Sullinger on Saturday, as he scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 25 minutes, but it wasn't enough to avoid a second consecutive loss. The rookie PF scored 16 points on Christmas Day, but he followed that up by fouling out in 18 minutes vs. the Clippers. We'll let you know if he plays well enough, consistently enough, to warrant attention in standard formats.

He played 33 minutes on Christmas and scored 16 points, so it's a tough pill to swallow for anyone that optimistically thought he could maintain his value. Doc Rivers is going to drive owners up a wall with Sully and Brandon Bass, so we'd prefer to avoid this situation.
