Jared Sullinger returned from his bruised knee on Friday with a career-high 26 points against the Blazers, adding eight boards, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers. He missed Wednesday's game with a bruised knee and was only averaging 19.7 minutes per game before tonight, so this outburst surpassed even the highest expectations. He was picking up steam before he sustained the injury on Monday and the time off obviously didn't hurt him. The Celtics have a fluid rotation and Sullinger does have a tendency to miss games due to injury, but he's making a great case as a pickup in most fantasy leagues.

He's probably worth a stash in case the Celtics ever decide to start him, but double-doubles will be a little too much to ask for as long as he's coming off the pine.

He could emerge as the most valuable big man, but it's obviously not going to happen over night.

Jared Sullinger played a season-high 24 minutes against the Jazz during a 97-87 win on Wednesday, posting a line of 12 points, five boards and one block on 6-of-11 shooting. Coach Brad Stevens said he wants to play Sullinger more minutes before the game, and he kept true to his word. Sullinger's value is on the upswing, so while he hasn't quite had a game worth writing home about yet, it seems better days are ahead for the second-year big man.

Sullinger only played 21 minutes, but the sense around the team is that he could be receiving more playing time soon enough. His value seems to be on the rise, so owners that need a power forward might want to be ahead of the curve.

Jared Sullinger scored 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting (including two threes) to go with five rebounds and no other stats on Monday. The threes were a surprising development after going 1-of-5 for all of last season, and owners should keep a close eye on Sullinger as he's one of the Celtics' better scorers and rebounders. Feel free to make a speculative add in competitive or deep formats but realize there's still a logjam in the frontcourt.
