With Green headed to the bench, Gary Payton will enter the starting lineup at small forward, bumping Draymond Green to center and Andrew Wiggins to power forward.

Despite operating as a starter, he played just 13 minutes but still matched his playoff high with 15 points thanks to a trio of three-pointers. It's unclear if Green will remain in the starting lineup moving forward, but either way, it appears he's earned the chance to have a larger role in Round 2 after playing just 15 total minutes against Sacramento in Round 1.

Green will move into the starting lineup for Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals versus the Lakers on Tuesday, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

EDGE Analysis

Kevon Looney will move to the bench despite pulling down 23 rebounds in Game 1. The move is a surprise, but coach Steve Kerr is clearly looking to get some additional floor spacing as the Warriors attempt to even up the series.

Green closed with 12 points (4-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one steal across 14 minutes during Friday's 120-112 victory over the 76ers.

Green hadn't been playing much of late, averaging just 10.0 minutes over his previous six games. However, the veteran logged over 20 minutes Saturday for the first time since Nov. 21, and he made the most of the opportunity with a season-best 18 points. Green got to that mark with a very efficient night from the field, and he's been a solid shooter all season, hitting 52.7 percent of his field-goal attempts, including 38.2 percent of his tries from beyond the arc. Despite those useful rates, Green simply doesn't play enough to be a factor in fantasy.

Green totaled 14 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 15 minutes during Friday's 108-99 win over the Pelicans.

EDGE Analysis

Green played more than five minutes for the first time in three games and scored in double figures for the first time since Feb. 13. With Andrew Wiggins (personal) out, Green theoretically has a clear path to playing time, but during Wiggins' seven-game absence, Green has averaged just 3.7 points and 3.1 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per game. The veteran forward is capable of strong all-around fantasy performances like Friday's outing, but he's too inconsistent to trust regularly.

Green (wrist) is not on the injury report for Tuesday's game against the Clippers.

EDGE Analysis

Green suffered a right wrist injury during Monday's win over the Wizards, but it won't stop him from playing Tuesday. The veteran has appeared in the past six games, averaging 9.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 15.0 minutes.

Green picked up the slack while several of the starters sputtered in the narrow win. The Alabama product recently overcame a lower leg infection and wasn't initially part of head coach Steve Kerr's rotation once he was cleared to play two weeks ago, but with 16 minutes in back-to-back games, Green seems to have recaptured a spot on the second unit.

Though he fared well during his time on the court, Green may not be a lock to stick in the rotation when Golden State returns to full strength. The Warriors played Friday's game without all of Stephen Curry (hip), Klay Thompson (Achilles), Andrew Wiggins (foot), Draymond Green (toe) and Andre Iguodala (hip), all of whom could be back for Sunday's game against the Nets.
