White agreed to terms with Virtus Roma of the Italian A League, Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.com reports.

White will join Virtus Roma for the remainder of the 2019-20 season. The veteran guard most recently played for Baltur Cento, another Italian team, where he averaged 18.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 34.5 minutes across 26 games in the 2018-19 season.

Reggio Emilia is trying to convince James White to re-sign with the team for next season. His only real impact in the NBA came in the dunk contest and he has played 8.7 minutes per game during his 67 NBA contests. Even though his Italian contract expires at the end of the month, Flight White's days in the NBA are probably numbered.

White did go out with a bang in the regular season with a 20-point game while the Knicks rested up for the playoffs, so he should have some success with the inferior talent.

His greatest NBA success came last season with New York, when he averaged nearly eight minutes in 57 appearances, and all signs point to him heading back overseas.

Knicks waive James White. His agent informed the media yesterday that White would be headed out of NYC and that his client has received interest from other teams and to play in China. White's biggest impact came in the dunk contest and the 30-year-old swing man wasn't in the rotation for most of the season.

The Knicks have declined the team option on James White for next season, according to White's agent. White's agent added that there's some interest among NBA teams and he's negotiating with Chinese teams. James "Flight" White played just nine minutes in the playoffs and was only used as an emergency player throughout the season. He won't have any fantasy value.

James White's agent said it's "unlikely" his client will return to the Knicks. We'll file that under "obvious." White was glued to the bench for the majority of the season and it's not clear how he lasted with the team for the entire year. White's $1 million option is expected to be declined, and it's possible he'll go back overseas if he can't garner an offer in the NBA.

James White will be deactivated for Tuesday's Game 4 vs. the Pacers. This will have no impact on the outcome of the game, but it could be a sign that J.R. Smith (illness) is expected to play.

James White got his 15th start of the season on Monday and scored a career-high 15 points with seven boards, six assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 43 minutes. We recapped his goose egg yesterday just to give everyone a heads up that he could have a nice game today and he didn't disappoint. If the Knicks rest everyone again on Wednesday, White could score in the teens and might be a spot-start again for deep leagues.

James White didn't score in his three minutes of action on Sunday. The Knicks are going to rest some guys, so this is just a heads up for deep-league owners looking for an extra spot-start on Monday. He will likely get 20 minutes vs. Charlotte. Adjust accordingly.
