A bevy of offensive rebounds (four) likely played a part in the additional field goal attempts, but it's more likely the loss of Zak Irvin (back) and Isaiah Hicks (groin) opened up the extra opportunities for Warney. The 25-year-old has excelled with the Knicks, averaging 20.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists - all figures higher than his 2018-19 totals with the Legends despite playing a similar amount of minutes.

Warney has thrived as the starting center for Westchester recently, with multiple 20-plus point outings in the last four games. With as much offense as Westchester is capable of providing each game, Warney's production will often times fluctuate, but his rebounding prowess should allow for a consistent source of fantasy points even if he's unable to pile on the baskets.

Warney was one of three Westchester players to score 25 or more points - problem was, nobody else on the team scored more than 11. The power forward's production has slipped somewhat even with Isaiah Hicks currently in the NBA, as the likes of Zak Irvin and Billy Garrett have taken on an increasingly vital scoring role for Westchester. Still, Warney is posting significantly better numbers with the G League Knicks this season (18.9 points) than when he played for the Legends (13.7 points) and figures to continue that trend so long as he's in the starting lineup.

Warney finished Monday's loss to Windy City with 31 points (13-23 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists and one steal.

EDGE Analysis

Warney has emerged as Westchester's primary shot taker ever since Isaiah Hicks missed nearly a month with an ankle injury. The forward has tallied back-to-back 20-plus-point games and seems to be jelling nicely with a frontcourt that features the likes of Hicks, Irvin and Paul Watson.

Warney totaled 27 points (12-20 FG, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block across 29 minutes Saturday against Delaware.

Warney was impressive from the field, sinking shots at a 60.0 percent clip while packing the stat sheet in a 105-96 victory for Westchester. The 6-7 forward continues to put together strong final lines in the G League this year, averaging 14.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.5 steals in 26 matchups.

Warney posted 22 points (10-17 FG, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and two assists in the loss Tuesday to Salt Lake City.

Ironically, four separate players in Tuesday's contest scored 22 points, but no one seemingly could cross the imaginary threshold. Warney and point guard Kadeem Allen factored into that equation for Westchester, but the scoring duo wasn't enough to unseat a fiery Salt Lake City squad.

Warney tallied 18 points (8-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt), 12 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal in the loss Wednesday to the Bayhawks.

EDGE Analysis

Warney has seen a dramatic decrease in rebounds this season, but that could be due to a nearly five minute loss in playing time from the 2017-18 G League season. The 24-year-old forward has been a fixture in the Legends starting lineup, playing 37 minutes Wednesday as an example, so he should be a dependable asset for fantasy owners regardless of his struggles on the glass.

Warney scored 13 points (6-12 FG, 1-2 FT) and tallied 10 rebounds in the loss Wednesday to South Bay.

EDGE Analysis

Warney's box score looks a little less appealing given he turned the ball over five times, but it's hard to argue with a double-double. The multi-year G League veteran is averaging 16.4 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists through 11 games this season.

Warney is expected to sign a 10-day contract with the Mavericks in the coming few days, Marc Stein of the New York Times reports.

Warney has been an absolute force in the G-League this season, playing in 37 games with the Legends, while posting averages of 20.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks across 35.1 minutes. It'll mark a well-deserved promotion to the big league once the move becomes official, though Warney will still likely struggle see very many minutes most nights and isn't expected to be a viable fantasy commodity. The 6-foot-7 forward out of Stony Brook could be available as soon as Saturday's matchup with the Grizzlies as long as everything is finalized in time.

The Stony Brook product was able to get back into the double-double category Thursday after a two game absence. Warney is currently averaging impressive numbers with 19.5 points and 9.8 rebounds per contest. Scoring in double-digits in every game thus far, the 24-year-old is not just a valuable contributor to the Legends, but also as a fantasy commodity as well.
