The Suns have acquired Green and Dillon Brooks from the Rockets as part of the blockbuster trade involving Kevin Durant, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Green will have an opportunity for a fresh start playing alongside Devin Booker in Phoenix. The 22-year-old guard is coming off his second straight 82-game regular season, making him one of the most durable young stars in the league today. He averaged 21.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while shooting 42.3 percent from the floor and a career-high 35.4 percent from deep in his last year with the Rockets.

Green ended Sunday's 103-89 loss to the Warriors in Game 7 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with eight points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block across 30 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Green ended his postseason like it began, with a disappointing performance on both ends of the floor. Although Houston could be considered a success story this season, it is clear there are improvements to be made. Green ended the season as the leading scorer, yet scored fewer than 13 points in six of the past seven games.

Green ended Friday's 115-107 win over the Warriors in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 12 points (3-11 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one block across 32 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Outside of an offensive explosion in Game 2, during which he scored a game-high 38 points, Green has been a disappointment in this first-round series. There's no doubting the young star's talent, but he's been incredibly inconsistent in this series, with poor shooting numbers across the board. He's shooting 37.2 percent from the field, 66.7 percent from the free-throw line and 31 percent from beyond the arc.

Green recorded eight points (3-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-3 FT), three rebounds and one assist over 25 minutes during Monday's 109-106 loss to the Warriors in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

EDGE Analysis

Apart from his 38-point outburst in Game 2, Green has been held to single-digit points in every other game of this series. Overall, he's shooting 39.0 percent from the field and 31.3 percent from beyond the arc with 15.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.5 three-pointers. It's hard to imagine the Rockets dialing him back, however.

Green ended with 38 points (13-25 FG, 8-18 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, six assists and three steals over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 109-94 win over the Warriors in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

The fourth-year guard led all scorers on the night by a wide margin -- Stephen Curry paced the Warriors with 20 points, while no other Rocket managed more than 17. It was a stunning breakout for Green, who had scored in single digits in each of his prior four games while shooting 20.5 percent from the floor and 18.2 percent from beyond the arc, including just seven points in 31 minutes during his postseason debut Sunday. Green's eight made threes tied his career single-game high.

Green finished Sunday's 95-85 loss to Golden State in Game 1 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with seven points (3-15 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds and two assists across 31 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Green had a rough shooting performance in Sunday's Game 1 loss to the Warriors, going a cringeworthy 3-for-15 from the floor and 0-for-4 from beyond the arc. The rising star still came three points and two rebounds shy of a double-double but didn't do much offensively to help his team avoid going down 0-1 in the series against Stephen Curry and company.

Green finished with two points (0-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 21 minutes during Sunday's 126-111 loss to Denver.

EDGE Analysis

It's rare to see an NBA player go one season without missing a game, but Green capped off the season with a two-year streak of court appearances intact. Green took no rest days and appeared in a staggering 163 games over the past two seasons. Green's minutes were limited Sunday and his results followed suit, but he'll be at 100 percent to begin the playoffs next week.

Green had seven points (3-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and one steal over 15 minutes during Friday's 140-109 loss to the Lakers.

EDGE Analysis

Green didn't play in the second half of Friday's blowout loss, as the Rockets played mostly young players in a game that was out of reach by halftime. The Rockets have been resting their regulars in the final days of the regular season, but it's unclear if Green will rest Sunday against the Nuggets. The star guard currently has the third longest streak of consecutive appearances in the NBA, and that's a streak he probably won't want to snap any time soon.

Green finished Wednesday's 134-117 loss to the Clippers with five points (2-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and three assists across 15 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Green logged just 15 minutes before sitting out the second half of Wednesday's contest, allowing Nate Williams to see extended playing time. With the Rockets locked into the second seed in the Western Conference, Green will likely continue to see reduced minutes in Houston's final two regular season contests, even if he remains in the starting lineup.

Green chipped in 34 points (11-24 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 9-10 FT), four rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals in 38 minutes during Friday's 125-111 win over the Thunder.

EDGE Analysis

On top of leading all scorers Friday, Green also provided a full stat line against a tough Thunder defense. The star guard can deliver the occasional dud, as he does have two games with single-digit points since March 12, but he's reached the 20-point mark in 11 of his last 13 games. During that stretch, Green has averaged 24.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.1 three-pointers in 35.2 minutes.
