Walter will enter the starting lineup for Sunday's preseason game against the Wizards, according to Raptors reporter Vivek Jacob.
EDGE Analysis
Walter is coming off a dud, as he contributed one point (0-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five assists, two rebounds and one turnover across 22 minutes in Friday's 107-105 preseason win over the Celtics. Walter, who is not guaranteed a rotation spot, is getting a huge opportunity Sunday with Brandon Ingram (rest) getting another night off.

Walter contributed one point (0-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five assists, two rebounds and one turnover across 22 minutes of Friday's 107-105 preseason win over the Celtics.
EDGE Analysis
The Raptors sat out their entire starting lineup Friday, so Walter will be disappointed not to have a larger impact on this game. Toronto's rotation is noticeably deeper this season, particularly on the wings, and Walter's spot is not guaranteed.

Walter posted 15 points (4-7 FG, 5-5 FT, 2-3 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists, a steal and a blocked shot over 22 minutes in Wednesday's 130-122 preseason win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Walter's participation as a rookie was aided by numerous injuries on Toronto's roster. Still, the team enters the season with a fairly clean bill of health Brandon Ingram's addition doesn't help Walter's cause either. For now, it appears that the Baylor product will compete for minutes in the second unit alongside Gradey Dick, Ochai Agbaji and Jamison Battle.

The 20-year-old tied the game-high marks in steals and three-pointers while finishing as Toronto's second-leading scorer. The No. 19 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Walter will look to build on his rookie campaign, during which he averaged 8.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists across 21.2 minutes per game in 52 regular-season outings.

EDGE Analysis
Walter will miss the final game of the season due to right hip soreness, the same injury that sidelined him for the previous two contests. The rookie out of Baylor finishes his rookie year with averages of 8.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.8 steals per game in 52 appearances (18 starts) while averaging 21.2 minutes per contest.

Walter (hip) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Mavericks, Coty Wiles of RaptorsRepublic.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Walter will miss a second consecutive game Friday with a sore right hip. The Raptors will be thin in the backcourt in Dallas and will likely have to lean on Ochai Agbaji and Jamal Shead to shoulder the load.

Walter (hip) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Hornets, Esfandiar Baraheni of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Walter missed seven consecutive contests in March while dealing with a strained right hip, and he'll sit out against Charlotte due to right hip flexor tightness. His next chance to suit up will come Friday against Dallas, which is the Raptors' penultimate game of the regular season. A.J. Lawson and Jared Rhoden are candidates for a bump in minutes due to Walter being sidelined.

Walter had 22 points (8-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and three steals over 32 minutes during Friday's 117-105 loss to the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
Walter is widely expected to end the season in a starting role, as he's been part of the first unit in Toronto's last six games, and the Raptors could use the season's final games to give the rookie- and others- an expanded look. This was Walter's second-best scoring performance of the season, and he's shown some interesting things when handed more minutes. He's scored in double digits in five of those aforementioned six starts while averaging 14.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
