David Stern said the Spurs will face "substantial sanctions" for resting their players on Thursday.
"I apologize to all NBA fans. This was an unacceptable decision by the Spurs. Substantial sanctions will be forthcoming," David Stern said. It's fair to say that there wouldn't be such an outrage had the game not been nationally televised. "Substantial sanctions" might be this year's "basketball reasons" for Stern. Stay tuned for how the NBA fines the Spurs for managing their team.
Up yours Stern, u are just looking for more attention because u are retiring/what a drama queen!!U are going to fine Greg Popovich, one of the finest coaches ever in the NBA, for resting his veterans. I don't think so stern, as many enemies as you have now, a million or so more won't hurt will it now??I think Pop was just showing the rest of the league how weak the Heat really are!!!They almost won without their studs!!Get a real job stern.
