Whiteside (knee) is out for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers, James Ham of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Right knee soreness will cause Whiteside to miss a second game in a row. In his absence, the newly-acquired Chris Silva could see action as a backup center. He'll be fighting for minutes with Chimezie Metu.

Whiteside won't play Thursday against the Warriors due to right knee soreness, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.

Whiteside contributed eight points (4-6 FG), 12 rebounds, two blocks and one assist in a 110-108 victory over the Hawks on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside needed just 18 minutes to positively impact the game on both sides of the floor. The center wasn't terribly aggressive on offense but was able to secure four offensive rebounds. He was also able to block two shots for the fourth time in his last five games. Over that stretch, Whiteside hasn't played more than 20 minutes but has averaged 7.0 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.

Whiteside had six points (3-6 FG, 0-2 FT), six rebounds and two blocks in Wednesday's win over Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Playing in his first game since Feb. 21, Whiteside backed up Richaun Holmes and saw 20 minutes of action, as Holmes fouled out in just 27 minutes. Fantasy managers are plenty familiar with Whiteside at this point in his career. When the minutes are there, he's one of the league's best shot-blockers and volume rebounders, but he offers almost no value in assists, threes and steals, while actively hurting the free throw percentage category.

Whiteside (COVID-19 protocols) is active for Wednesday's game at Washington with a minutes restriction, James Ham of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old hasn't seen game action since Feb. 21 due to the health and safety protocols, but he'll be back on the court for Wednesday's contest. Whiteside is averaging 8.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 14.6 minutes this season, so the restriction is unlikely to have a major affect on his role off the bench.

Whiteside (COVID-19 protocols) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside has missed the last nine games due to the league's health and safety protocols, but he could return to the court Wednesday. Nemanja Bjelica should continue to serve as the primary backup to Richaun Holmes if Whiteside is held out once again.

Whiteside (COVID-19 protocols) will not play in Monday's game against the Hornets.
EDGE Analysis
This will be the ninth consecutive absence for Whiteside, who has not taken the floor since Feb. 21 at Milwaukee. He should pass through the league's protocols in the near future, but the big man is without a clear timetable.
