Monroe scored 23 points (10-14 FG, 3-4 FT) with 13 rebounds over 39 minutes in Monday's 103-96 win against the Nets.
EDGE Analysis
Monroe was dominant all night in his first win as a Buck. The size of Brook Lopez on the other end did faze Monroe at all, as he got pretty much anything he wanted around the rim. The only thing missing from his stat line was more assists; Monroe is a pretty decent passer.

Monroe scored 22 points (10-14 FG, 2-3 FT) with five rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 35 minutes during Friday's loss to the Wizards.
EDGE Analysis
The Bucks big free agent signing has scored 22 points in each of his first two games for the club, and Monroe has helped stabilize an otherwise thin Milwaukee frontcourt.

Monroe scored 22 points (7-for-17 FG, 8-for-10 FT) with 14 boards, four assists, two blocks and two steals in 35 minutes of a blowout loss to the Knicks in the opener.
EDGE Analysis
Monroe was the main bright spot for the otherwise sluggish Bucks, and he looks to replicate some of the stronger efforts of his past as the focal big man for the Bucks this season.

Monroe is averaging 14.2 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals over 24 minutes in five games this preseason.
EDGE Analysis
Monroe has not played an overwhelming amount of minutes this preseason, but he's remained consistently productive, scoring in double figures in the four games he played north of 20 minutes and posting a pair of double doubles. Monroe has been able to show proficiency in the post, and despite the fact that the forward isn't real threat as a shot blocker, he's been able to remain actively defensively this preseason, recording nearly two steals a game. All signs point to Monroe putting together one of his most productive seasons to date as the focal point of Milwaukee's offense.

Monroe posted a double-double against the Cavs Tuesday, totaling 19 points (7-11 FG, 5-8 FT), two assists, 13 rebounds, and two steals in 28 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Much to the delight of the Bucks, Monroe already appears to be in regular-season form. He followed up a strong 18-point, eight-rebound Oct. 10 showing with his first double-double with his new club, and did so in highly efficient fashion. Monroe is expected to be much more productive and durable option at the four for the player he essentially switched teams with, Ersan Ilyasova. Given the fact that he figures to be focal point of Milwaukee's attack this season on both ends of the floor, Monroe shapes up as a solid early-round pick.

Monroe played 17 minutes and posted six points, four rebounds, one assist, and one steal in his only preseason game with the Bucks so far.
EDGE Analysis
Monroe is entering his sixth NBA season in a different setting than he's been accustomed to. He surprised many in the NBA by signing with the Milwaukee Bucks as opposed to a bigger market franchise this off-season. Monroe's entering a situation where he'll be the main focus on the block as opposed to sharing time and looks with Andre Drummond. It's going to take time for him to adjust to playing with a new lineup, so there's no need to overreact early. He'll have a chance to put up a similar line to what he did in Detroit, along with increased scoring and rebounding.

Monroe and the Bucks agreed to terms on a maximum contract Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Monroe met with a number of teams, including the Lakers, Blazers and Knicks, but ultimately chose Milwaukee, likely due to its willingness to offer a maximum deal. With Jabari Parker returning and likely sliding in as the starting power forward, Monroe figures to see most of his time at center. The Bucks now have a host of talent in the frontcourt and may look to make a move to unload a piece this offseason.

Monroe said he will meet with the Celtics, Knicks, Bucks, Lakers and Trail Blazers this week, also acknowledging that the Pistons are unlikely to pursue him, The Advocate reports. "Stan [Van Gundy] had smaller teams in Orlando years ago," Monroe said. "[Andre Drummond] is like Dwight Howard. So Stan wants to put good players around him. The team has different plans, and I respect that. I don't want to be anywhere I'm not wanted."
The Pistons likely want Andre Drummond playing next to a power forward with a jump shot, which makes Monroe more valuable to other teams. A split makes sense for both sides, and while Monroe's style of play isn't a fit everywhere, he's still one of the better big men on the market and will thus draw plenty of interest. As will be the case for many of the top free agents this offseason, Monroe said he's looking for a two-year deal that includes a player option.

Monroe enjoyed arguably his best statistical season as a pro, averaging 15.9 points, 10.2 rebounds (career-high) and 2.1 assists while shooting 49.6 percent from the field.
While the Pistons' first season under Stan Van Gundy did not go as planned, Monroe was the team's steadiest offensive player, ranking 12th in the NBA with 35 double-doubles and grabbing 10 or more rebounds 37 times. One of the most durable players in the league, Monroe missed significant time due to injury for the first time in his career. The Georgetown product sat out 12 games in late-March/early-April after straining his knee during practice. Prior to this season, Monroe had only missed one game in his professional career. Monroe will enter the summer an unrestricted free agent after the Pistons failed to tender him an extension offer. While the team would likely be interested in keeping him, it's all but certain Monroe will be in a new uniform in 2015-16. He's already been linked to the Knicks, but other suitors are sure to emerge. Monroe is among the steadiest power forwards in the league, but he's limited as an athlete and is not a threat to stretch the floor. According to Basketball-Reference, nearly 40 percent of Monroe's attempts came from the 3-10 foot range, but he converted at only a 37 percent clip. To make matters worse, he was a non-factor in the mid-range, with a mere seven percent of his field goal attempts coming from 10-22 feet. He's also shown no signs of developing as an outside shooter, an increasing focus for teams looking to spread the floor, as he's 0-of-7 from long-range in his career.

Monroe provided 17 points (4-10 FG, 9-10 FT), nine rebounds, and four assists in 33 minutes in the win over the Hornets on Sunday.
Monroe has played well since returning from a knee injury three games ago. He has averaged 18.3 points and 10.3 rebounds in that span as he attempts to make a late-season free agent run.
