Monroe scored 14 points (5-10 FG, 4-4 FT) while adding a team-high 12 rebounds, three steals and an assist in 29 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 86-75 overtime loss to the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
He once again saw more minutes than starting center Miles Plumlee en route to Monroe's third double-double of the season, but coach Jason Kidd's rotation has been too inconsistent to assume that will be the case next time out. If the Bucks' starting five continues to struggle offensively though, Monroe's role and court time should continue to grow.

Monroe scored 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-5 FT) and added 16 rebounds, six assists, and a block in 26 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 125-107 win over the Pacers.
EDGE Analysis
This was easily Monroe's best game of the season, considering his multi-category production and his efficient shooting. This is also Monroe second straight game with six assists. Monroe has long been a good passer for a big man, but his current 3.6 assists per game is high for him. His strong production seems to have earned him some extra court time, as this was the most he's played since opening night.

Monroe provided six points (2-6 FG, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, six assists and one block across 18 minutes in Tuesday's 117-113 win over the Pelicans.
EDGE Analysis
Monroe struggled with his efficiency throughout the preseason and has hit just 38.9 percent of his shots through the Bucks' first four games, but at least he was willing to embrace a facilitating role Tuesday when his shot wasn't falling. That shouldn't be expected from Monroe very often, considering he had put up a combined six assists in the Bucks' other three games. With his scoring down and his playing time sitting below the 20-minute mark in three straight games, Monroe's fantasy value has taken a steep hit, to the point where he might not even be worth owning in shallower formats.

Monroe scored 11 points (4-9 FG, 3-3 FT) while adding five rebounds and two steals in 18 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 98-83 loss to the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
After playing 29 minutes in the Bucks' opener, Monroe hasn't topped 20 minutes in either of the last two games as coach Jason Kidd tries to sort through a plethora of frontcourt options. Monroe's been able to stay somewhat productive despite the restricted minutes, but that's not likely to continue unless he can carve out a larger share of the available court time.

Monroe accumulated 14 points (5-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-5 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one assist across 29 minutes in Wednesday's 107-96 loss to the Hornets.
EDGE Analysis
After a horrible preseason, Monroe didn't show much improvement with his shooting in the season opener, but the Bucks needed his scoring with nobody among the starting unit with the exception of Giannis Antetokounmpo (31 points) willing to step up. Monroe ended up dominating the playing time at center while starter Miles Plumlee received only eight minutes, but that gap isn't expected to be quite as wide on most occasions throughout the season. Even so, Monroe offers the greater fantasy appeal of the two despite his standing as a bench player.

Monroe finished Wednesday's 111-103 preseason win over the Pacers with two points (1-8 FG), eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block across 23 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Monroe showed some rare multi-category production in his appearance off the bench, but the 1-for-8 shooting game continued a troubling trend during the preseason. He finished the Bucks' exhibition slate with a 20-for-57 (35%) showing from the field over five games, a terrible mark for any player, much less someone who spends an inordinate amount of possessions near the rim. Those shooting struggles likely ended any hope Monroe had of regaining the starting center gig over Miles Plumlee, and while Monroe still figures to see the majority of the time at the position, he may be in for a decent-sized downgrade from the 29.7 minutes per game he averaged with the second unit last season.

Monroe produced 12 points (6-19 FG), eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 23 minutes in Monday's 102-78 preseason loss to the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
The Bucks gave Miles Plumlee the starting nod at center Monday, and while he's expected to serve in that capacity when the regular season begins, Monroe still figures to see the bulk of the minutes at the position while coming off the bench. He's usually an efficient source of frontcourt scoring, but that certainly hasn't been the case through his four appearances in the preseason. His 6-for-19 mark against the Pistons brought his shooting percentage all the way down to 38.7 percent over 77 preseason minutes.

Monroe will be rested and not play in Saturday's game against Chicago, Bucks' radio host Ted Davis reports.
EDGE Analysis
Monroe is getting the day off simply to keep him fresh as Milwaukee gears up for the regular season. He'll likely play in Monday's game against the Pistons.

Monroe tallied a team-high 15 points (7-13 FG, 1-3 FT) to go with nine rebounds, three blocks, two steals and one assist over 17 minutes in Monday's 93-91 exhibition win over the Bulls.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Jason Kidd made the decision early in training camp to send established veterans in Monroe and Michael Carter-Williams to the second unit, but that duo outshone their counterparts in the starting lineup Monday. Though Monroe ended up seeing just as much court time as starting center Miles Plumlee, he outscored him by 13 points and collected six more boards. Even in a reserve role, Monroe is expected to provide more fantasy value than Plumlee, whose defensive capabilities are the primary reason why Kidd prefers to keep him with the starters.

Monroe will enter training camp as the team's backup center, C.F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
After signing a three-year, $51 million contract a year ago, Monroe struggled to get acclimated to his new team and ended up failing to meet expectations during his first season in Milwaukee. In fact, he started just 67 of 79 games, as fellow center Miles Plumlee came on strong at the end of the year and saw some starts. Plumlee is now expected to open training camp as the Bucks' starting center, so Monroe will remain in a bench role for the time being. With plenty of trade rumors surrounding his name, it wouldn't be surprising if Monroe saw a slight decrease in playing time during his seventh year in the league, although we should get a better indication of his role as training camp commences.
