VanVleet (back) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game against Indiana, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
VanVleet was held out of Sunday's game against Denver due to a sore back, but he went through a full practice Tuesday and is on track to be back in the lineup Wednesday night. VanVleet has functioned as the Raptors' first guard off the bench for much of the season, but if Kyle Lowry -- questionable with a thigh injury -- remains out, VanVleet could be thrust into increased minutes.

VanVleet won't play Sunday against the Nuggets, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
VanVleet was listed as doubtful on Toronto's most recent injury report, so this announcement doesn't come as a surprise. Delon Wright will draw the start at point guard with both Kyle Lowry (thigh) and VanVleet sidelined.

VanVleet is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Nuggets with back soreness, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
VanVleet has been dealing with a nagging back injury over the past week, and it looks as though he will miss Sunday's game. With starting point guard Kyle Lowry out, Delon Wright could jump up to the starting five if VanVleet doesn't play. More information should come out prior to Sunday's tip.

VanVleet will draw another spot start at point guard Friday against Portland, Eric Smith of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Kyle Lowry ruled out due to back spasms, VanVleet will benefit from the start and likely an increase in minutes. In games this season where Lowry hasn't played, VanVleet has averaged 35.5 minutes over four matchups.

VanVleet (back) totaled 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and three steals across 28 minutes in the Raptors' 113-93 win over the Warriors on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
VanVleet shook off the back issue that had him listed as questionable coming into the contest and put in another solid performance in Kawhi Leonard's (hip) stead. The third-year guard was more active on the scoring front than a night earlier against the Clippers, displaying impressive efficiency while shooting 50 percent, including 66.7 percent from three-point range. VanVleet is expected to return to a bench role that still typically affords him minutes in the 20s if Leonard is able to return to action Friday against the Trail Blazers.

Van Vleet (back) will play in Wednesday's game against the Warriors, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Van Vleet came into the game questionable, as he continues to deal with a nagging back injury, but will give it a go Wednesday. Van Vleet could see an increased role with star Kawhi Leonard out with a hip injury. Van Vleet is averaging 24.2 minutes this season, running the show for the second unit.

Van Vleet is a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against the Warriors with a back injury, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Van Vleet is dealing with a back issue, however the severity is unknown at this time. More information should come out sometime prior to tip on whether or not he will go. If he's unable to go, Delon Wright would likely see most of the back-up point guard minutes.

VanVleet will start Tuesday against the Clippers, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Kawhi Leonard (hip) out, coach Nick Nurse will opt to go small, starting VanVleet next to Kyle Lowry. In three previous starts this season, VanVleet has averaged 14.7 points, 4.7 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 32.8 minutes.

VanVleet scored a season-high 19 points (7-12 FG, 5-7 3Pt) and added two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 27 minutes off the bench Sunday in the Raptors' 104-99 loss to the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
With Kyle Lowry (zero points on 0-for-5 shooting from the field) sputtering offensively, VanVleet provided the Raptors with a needed lift off the bench. The reserve guard's efforts weren't enough to hold off the Bucks, but VanVleet showed enough here to make for a decent speculative pickup in the event the Raptors decide to shut Lowry down for a brief spell. Lowry missed the Raptors' first game of December with a back issue and could still be impacted by the injury in light of his recent form. Over the past four games, the starting point guard has averaged just 3.8 points while shooting 14.3 percent from the field.

VanVleet had 15 points (5-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four assists, three rebounds, and one steal in 33 minutes during Saturday's 106-95 victory over the Cavaliers.
EDGE Analysis
VanVleet moved into the starting lineup Saturday, replacing Kyle Lowry (back) who was ruled out with injury. VanVleet was solid without being spectacular, totaling 15 points and four assists. VanVleet is a high-floor, low-ceiling player no matter his role. The Raptors run deep on most nights and that takes away from any upside VanVleet might have. He is more of a deeper league player but could be streaming in as required in a standard format.
