Bledsoe will start in the backcourt to begin the season alongside Reggie Jackson. Bledsoe is coming off one of his worst seasons, with the guard ranking just 203rd in per-game fantasy production behind 12.2 points, 3.8 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 29.7 minutes. There may be more opportunities for him to contribute on a Clippers team that will be without Kawhi Leonard for potentially the whole season, but it was concerning to see his percentages drop in tandem with reduced usage last year.

Bledsoe was traded to the Clippers on Sunday in exchange for Patrick Beverley, Rajon Rondo and Daniel Oturu, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

EDGE Analysis

Less than a month ago, Bledsoe was dealt from New Orleans to Memphis as part of the Jonas Valanciunas-Steven Adams swap, but it was widely believed that the veteran guard would be re-routed before the start of the 2021-22 season. Bledsoe will now head back to Los Angeles to play for the franchise with which he spent the first three years of his pro career. The 31-year-old's value has taken a bit of a hit over the last year or so, but he'll bring much-needed depth, defense and playmaking to a roster that will likely be without Kawhi Leonard (knee) for much of the 2021-22 season. The Clippers retained Reggie Jackson in free agency, but Bledsoe will likely be a top candidate -- along with Terance Mann and Luke Kennard -- to fill the other starting guard spot. Bledsoe closed last season with averages of 12.2 points, 3.8 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 0.8 steals per game in 71 appearances for the Pelicans.

Bledsoe was traded to Memphis on Monday, along with Steven Adams, as part of a package that brings Jonas Valanciunas to New Orleans, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

New Orleans will also send the No. 10 pick in Thursday's draft and a top-10-protected 2022 first-round pick (via the Lakers) to Memphis, which will hand over the No. 17 pick in 2021. The two teams will also swap second-rounders. For Bledsoe, the Grizzlies will be his third team in as many seasons, though Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports that the Grizzlies' intention is to eventually re-route Bledsoe to another team. The former Kentucky standout mostly scuffled through his lone season in New Orleans, averaging 12.2 points, 3.8 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 threes across 71 appearances. He posted his lowest scoring, rebounding and assist averages since the 2012-13 season, when he was a member of the Clippers.

Bledsoe delivered 15 points (5-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-7 FT), four assists, two rebounds and a steal across 26 minutes in Wednesday's loss against the Mavericks.

EDGE Analysis

Bledsoe extended his double-digit scoring streak to seven games, and he has reached the 15-point mark in three of his last four contests during that span. The veteran point guard is averaging 15.6 points, 5.0 assists and 4.1 rebounds in seven appearances this month.

Bledsoe produced 24 points (8-17 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 3-9 3Pt), 11 assists, four rebounds and two steals in 33 minutes Sunday in the Pelicans' 112-110 win over the Hornets.

EDGE Analysis

A disappointment for much of the season, Bledsoe has turned it on at the right time for those that stayed patient and rostered him through the fantasy playoffs. He established a new season high in assists Sunday while falling only four points shy of matching his best scoring total. Over his last five games, Bledsoe is averaging 16.6 points, 5.2 dimes, 4.4 rebounds, 1.8 three-pointers and 1.0 steals while shooting 46.2 percent from the floor.

Bledsoe recorded 18 points (7-20 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, four assists and two steals in 40 minutes of Friday's 109-107 loss to the 76ers.

EDGE Analysis

With Brandon Ingram (ankle) and Zion Williamson (finger) out, Bledsoe stepped up and registered his highest point total since an 18-point performance on April 26. He's scored in double figures in four straight games while shooting 45.8 percent from the floor over that span.

Bledsoe recorded 14 points (5-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and four assists across 34 minutes in Tuesday's win over the Warriors.

EDGE Analysis

Bledsoe is nothing more than the Pelicans' third- or fourth-best scoring alternative when everyone's available, but he made his presence felt in this one and recorded double-digit points for the fifth time over his last six appearances. He's averaging 13.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists in that span.

Bledsoe had 17 points (7-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-3 FT), four assists, three rebounds and two steals in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 114-112 loss to the Nuggets.

EDGE Analysis

Bledsoe is playing well right now, going against everything we have seen from his this season. The veteran has struggled to get anything going up until recently and so there is certainly an element of doubt when it comes to believing what we are seeing. That said, he has a proven track record and so if you need steals and assists, feel free to give him a look.

Bledsoe provided 18 points (6-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-7 FT), four rebounds, four steals and two assists across 26 minutes Monday in the Pelicans' 120-103 win over the Clippers.

EDGE Analysis

With Zion Williamson (23 points on 11 field-goal attempts) taking on a more muted role than usual offensively, Bledsoe was the Pelicans' surprise leader in usage (29.3 percent) in the win. Though Bledsoe was able to burn one of his former teams with a quality stat line, the inconsistency he's shown of late will make it difficult to rely on him replicating this sort of outing with any regularity. He was held to single-digit scoring in four of the Pelicans' prior six games while topping 25 minutes in just two of those contests.

Bledsoe posted 15 points (5-7 FG, 5-7 3Pt), three assists and two rebounds in 21 minutes during Thursday's 135-100 win over the Magic.

EDGE Analysis

The 31-year-old's five three-pointers were the most he's made since Jan. 29. Bledsoe's scoring has been a roller coaster lately, as he's posted seven, 13, six, eight, 22, six, and 15 over his last seven games, respectively. Despite his inconsistencies, the 11-year guard continues to start for the 11th-seeded Pelicans and should provide decent points, rebounds, assists and three-pointers the rest of the way.
