The Heat cut Eddie House from their roster on Sunday. House only had value as a 3-point gunner off the bench and his release isn't surprising -- he's still dealing with a knee injury and the Heat have Mike Miller and James Jones to spread the floor when needed. Norris Cole looks like an even better sleeper now that House is off the roster.

Eddie House (left knee surgery) isn't sure if he will be ready for Miami's opening game on Dec. 25. "It could be 2 weeks from now. It could be maybe 3 or 4 weeks," said House. Miami is way too deep for House to have any fantasy impact this season, even at 100% health.

Eddie House (knee) is expected to miss several weeks and has no timetable for his return. Even if you're hunting threes, drafting House in most formats would be a mistake until his knee checks out.

Eddie House recently had his knee scoped and he'll miss Heat training camp. That will also leave him very iffy to start the season, but he doesn't have fantasy value either way. Unless you're in a very deep league and looking for cheap 3-pointers.

Guard Eddie House opted in with the Heat and will play for the team next season. House is a 3-point specialist but isn't likely to offer much fantasy value in Miami (or anywhere else) after averaging 6.5 ppg and hitting just over a 3-pointer per game last season.
