Musa signed a three-year contract Wednesday with Turkish club Anadolu Efes, EuroLeague.net reports.

A first-round pick of the Nets in 2018, Musa appeared in 49 games and averaged 4.3 points and 1.9 rebounds in 10.7 minutes per contest between his two seasons in Brooklyn before he was dealt to Detroit during the offseason. Though the Pistons are seemingly in rebuilding mode, the 21-year-old evidently wasn't viewed as part of the organization's long-term plans, as he was waived at the conclusion of the preseason. With none of the league's other 29 teams opting to scoop up Musa, he'll return to the other side of the Atlantic and attempt to establish himself in the EuroLeague.

Musa was waived by the Pistons on Saturday, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.

EDGE Analysis

The 21-year-old was acquired from the Nets -- along with a second-round pick -- in November for Bruce Brown, but he didn't stay with the Pistons for long. Musa appeared in 40 games for Brooklyn during the 2019-20 season and averaged 4.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 12.2 minutes while shooting 37.2 percent from the floor.

The Nets traded Musa and a 2021 second-round pick to the Pistons on Monday in exchange for guard Bruce Brown, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

EDGE Analysis

After being selected with the 29th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, Musa struggled to find playing time during his two seasons in Brooklyn, averaging just 10.7 minutes per game across 49 career appearances. As a 6-foot-9 forward with some ability to shoot from the perimeter, Musa still makes for an intriguing prospect, and he should at least have a better opportunity to see steadier run in Detroit in 2020-21 than would have been possible in Brooklyn. If the Pistons aren't able to retain Christian Wood this offseason, Musa could have a path to being the team's first big man off the bench.

Musa went for a season-high 17 points (5-15 FG, 2-7 3PT, 5-8 FT), six rebounds and six assists in Tuesday's win over Orlando.

EDGE Analysis

Musa played a team-high 35 minutes and had perhaps his best all-around game of the season. His scoring and assists totals set new season-bests, while his six rebounds fell just one short of his season high.

Musa registered 11 points (2-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five rebounds and one assist in 28 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 99-68 loss against the Pelicans.

EDGE Analysis

Musa led the Nets in scoring while logging the joint-most minutes in this scrimmage, which could lead to a significant role off the bench once the regular season resumes. He was averaging 4.2 points in 11.5 minutes per game when play got suspended earlier this year.

Musa generated 20 points (6-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and two steals in 31 minutes during Sunday's loss to Greensboro.

EDGE Analysis

Musa was one of the lone bright spots in an otherwise forgettable outing for Long Island. He's provided a nice boost in his 12 games with the Nets' G League affiliate and is averaging 19.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists across 31.0 minutes per game during that span.

Musa generated 20 points (5-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and a steal in 32 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Blue Coats.

EDGE Analysis

Although his stroke wasn't there, Musa managed his third double-double of the season. He's been an exceptional addition to Long Island's roster and is posting season-long averages of 20.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.9 threes and 1.0 steals across nine G League contests.

Musa managed nine points (4-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and four rebounds in nine minutes during Wednesday's 129-88 win over the Warriors.

EDGE Analysis

Musa had combined for four points across his last five appearances, and he hasn't been a regular rotation player over the last couple months. The blowout nature of this game allowed Musa the opportunity to see some minutes and he made all of his shot attempts, but Musa is tough to trust for fantasy purposes.

Musa recorded 18 points (6-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two steals, one rebound and one assist in 22 minutes during Monday's loss to the Drive.

EDGE Analysis

Musa finished second on the team in scoring and managed to record a plus-6 net rating in Monday's loss. He'll likely head back to Brooklyn soon as he's played a rotational role in the NBA for much of the season.

Musa has played double-digit minutes in the Nets' last two games, but he's struggled to maintain a consistent spot in the rotation.

EDGE Analysis

Brooklyn has dealt with a number of injuries over the first half of the season, but it was the suspension of Wilson Chandler that appears to have most helped Musa. He appeared in every game between Nov. 8 and Dec. 15, but since then, Musa has racked up seven DNP-CDs. Musa was never much of a fantasy consideration, but he's firmly in afterthought territory for the time being.
