McDermott drilled multiple threes for the 17th time this season while recording double figures for the 11th time. While he doesn't offer much besides his scoring prowess, the Creighton product's an efficient source of threes and could be worth a look in formats where long-distance shooting is relevant. Through 28 games, McDermott's averaging 9.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.8 threes and 1.1 assists while shooting 46.7 percent from the field, a career-best 47.2 percent from behind the arc and 77.3 percent from the line in 20.9 minutes.

McDermott scored 17 points (6-9 FG, 5-8 3Pt) while adding six rebounds in 30 minutes off the bench during Monday's 110-99 loss to the Clippers.

EDGE Analysis

The five three-pointers were a season high for the 27-year-old journeyman, who's on his fifth club in six seasons. McDermott has scored in double digits in four straight games and is averaging a career-high 1.8 threes a game this year, but his lack of consistent production in other categories puts a firm cap on his fantasy value.

All six of those showings have been across the last 14 tilts, but McDermott isn't earning enough minutes or producing enough points to warrant attention outside of deeper formats.

After topping out at eight points in the Pacers' first seven games, McDermott has found his touch from the field in the team's past three contests. He's reached the teens in scoring in each of those games, shooting 55.9 percent from the field and 56.3 percent from three-point range. McDermott will struggle to sustain either of those efficiency rates moving forward and may also lose minutes once Jeremy Lamb (ankle) is back in the fold, making it difficult to view him as anything more than short-term streaming option in fantasy.

EDGE Analysis

McDermott reached double-digits again Friday but added just one assist in 19 minutes of court time. He can be a nice source of three-pointers when he gets the playing time but is typically one of the more underwhelming fantasy players, even on his best nights. As soon as the Pacers start getting their players back, McDermott is likely to see a reduction in his playing time and those in 12-teams leagues need not waste any time thinking about picking him up.

McDermott produced 19 points (6-10 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 121-106 win over the Wizards.

EDGE Analysis

McDermott matched Aaron Holiday for the third-most minutes on the team behind Malcolm Brogdon and T.J. Warren. Indiana switched things up and went small in this one, with Domantas Sabonis and Goga Bitadze splitting time at center and Myles Turner (ankle) still sidelined. As a result, combo forwards such as McDermott were a bit more involved than usual. It's unclear whether the Pacers will stick with a similar strategy if Turner isn't ready to return for Friday's matchup with the Pistons, but if the big man can't give it a go McDermott could once again be a sneaky option in daily leagues.

McDermott's availability was uncertain leading up to tipoff after he carried a questionable tag into the contest, but he ended up seeing a normal minutes load off the bench. The forward's place in coach Nate McMillan's rotation looks secure at the moment, but he's not producing at a level that makes him particularly interesting for fantasy purposes. Through seven games, McDermott is averaging 5.4 points (on 34.1 percent shooting from the field), 1.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 triples in 17.7 minutes.

McDermott is questionable for Tuesday's game against Charlotte due to a sore left foot.

EDGE Analysis

McDermott's name didn't pop up on the injury report until Monday night, so he appears to have come away with some soreness following Sunday's matchup against Chicago. He'll likely test his foot during shootaround before his availability is determined.
