Doug Collins "hopes" that Dorell Wright (quad) will scrimmage with the Sixers over the next two days.
Wright should be fine for opening night, whether or not he scrimmages by Friday. He's locked into a bench role in Philly but remains an intriguing sleeper thanks to his excellent per-minute fantasy numbers.

Dorell Wright (quad) participated in the non-contact portion of practice on Wednesday.
The injury is not considered serious and the sharpshooter should be ready to go before opening night.

Dorell Wright (quad contusion) will not play on Monday.
This seems like a precautionary move but we'll update his status once more is known. Wright will be a key part of Philly's bench attack, but Doug Collins has already said that he intends to monitor the nine-year veteran's playing time.

Dorell Wright put up 18 points and 11 rebounds to go with one steal, one block, and two 3-point shots on Friday against the Nets.
Wright hit 6-of-12 shots in 37 minutes. His per-minute numbers in Golden State last year were the same as in his breakout campaign from the prior season, so it's not surprising that he is having success when being deployed correctly in Philly. Granted, Evan Turner did not play tonight, but Doug Collins isn't going to keep Wright off the court if he keeps playing like this.

Dorell Wright got the start on Wednesday and scored 17 points, adding four assists, two steals and four threes in 28 minutes.
Dorell Wright burned owners left and right last season and his role with his new is still unclear. Evan Turner is expected to start at small forward, which makes Wright just someone to monitor until he puts up stats during the season.

Dorell Wright is looking to establish himself as a defender.
Wright is known for his ability to knock down shots, but the swingman wants to be more than just a shooter. "That is another key, me coming in here and playing defense," Wright said. "That is something I was known for in Miami. That's definitely something I want to get back to, those ways of being." Wright also added that Doug Collins wants him to be a leader and a playmaker in the second unit.

Beat writer Bob Cooney expects Dorell Wright and Jason Richardson to battle for the Sixers starting shooting guard spot.
Both are new faces in Philly. If healthy, Richardson figures to have the edge as the veteran that provides superior athleticism and long-range shooting. But no matter who wins out, we can safely expect a three-man rotation here. Nick Young also projects to see heavy shooting guard minutes as instant-offense off the bench.

The Warriors have officially traded Dorell Wright and Darryl Watkins to the 76ers, while getting back Jarrett Jack from the Hornets.
Wright comes with a reasonable $4.1 million expiring contract, and should infuse more scoring and versatility into the Sixers oft-stagnant offense. The Sixers already have Andre Iguodala and rookie Moe Harkless at SF, but Wright's penchant for 3-pointers makes him an intriguing late-round fantasy pick.

The Warriors were hoping to trade F Dorell Wright this summer, but it doesn't appear that he has much trade value after last season's disappointing performance.
Wright was overvalued in fantasy leagues last year and didn't live up to the hype, but is still a solid player and has a $4 million expiring contract, which makes it very surprising that he's drawn almost no interest from other teams. And until he is moved it is going to be tough for the Warriors to do much in the way of free agency.

The Warriors are "really trying to move [Dorell Wright]," reports Tim Kawakami of the Mercury News.
Kawakami's source indicated the Warriors want to unload Wright "whenever they can," so it might not mean much if he's still in town after the draft. Jettisoning Wright seems like a critical part of Golden State's well-known desire to upgrade at SF. For all his struggles under a new coach last year, it's hard to dismiss Wright's career-high averages in 2010-11 -- 16.4 points, 37.6 percent from downtown, 5.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.8 blocks.
