The Mavericks signed Hodge to a deal Friday, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.

Hodge played internationally for Aris Thessaloniki in Greece during the 2024-25 season, and he'll now try to make an impression at Dallas' training camp this fall. Last year, he averaged 7.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 38.0 percent from the floor over 40 games overseas.

The Lakers waived Hodge on Saturday.

Hodge was on a two-way contract with the Lakers before this transaction. He made a total of seven appearances for the Lakers, averaging just 5.9 minutes per contest.

Hodge logged zero points (0-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound and one steal in 12 minutes during Wednesday's 109-101 preseason win over Sacramento.

EDGE Analysis

Hodge scored eight points in eight minutes during the Lakers' preseason opener against the Warriors, but he's now been held scoreless in back-to-back outings. He joined the Lakers on a two-way deal in late June and had some solid performances late in Summer League, but he's unlikely to have a significant role in Los Angeles during the 2023-24 regular season.

Hodge put up 23 points (7-13 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, five steals, three assists and a block over 32 minutes during Sunday's 104-103 win over the Clippers.

EDGE Analysis

Hodge made his living from beyond the arc once again, all seven of his field goal makes coming from three-point range. He also impressed on the defensive end, picking up a game-high five steals. The 24-year-old has shown an ability to be a solid three-and-D player, but he likely won't get much opportunity during the 2023-24 season.
