Garrett has been waived by the Trail Blazers, the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Chris Haynes reports. Garrett may catch on elsewhere, but his fantasy value will be extremely limited.

Garrett has signed a two year, non-guaranteed contract to attend training camp with the Blazers, The Oregonian reports. Garrett will join the Blazers for training camp and if he ends up making their team, Portland can control Garrett's rights for two years. The 6-4 point guard averaged 3.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in 71 games played with the Jazz last season.

He got some revenge against his former team tonight and looked great down the stretch. Garrett has played in every game this month, entering tonight with February averages of 3.4 points, 1.8 boards, 1.2 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.2 triples in 15.5 minutes. There's really nothing to like about him from a fantasy angle even though Trey Burke is struggling.

Diante Garrett picked up 26 minutes of playing time with Trey Burke in foul trouble on Friday, scoring 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting with two rebounds, one assist and three steals. Garrett has put up some low key numbers when he gets on the floor but nothing to write home about and he needs a Burke injury to matter in fantasy leagues.

Free agent Diante Garrett is with the Jazz on Wednesday but the team hasn't acknowledged his availability or announced his signing. Multiple sources reported on Tuesday that Garrett would be called up from the D-League after Jamaal Tinsley was waived, and his sudden appearance seems to verify as much. Why the Jazz aren't discussing his presence is anyone's guess, but assuming he makes the roster he should earn substantial PG minutes alongside John Lucas III, at least until Trey Burke (finger) makes his debut.

Point guard Diante Garrett has played well in limited preseason action and stands an outside chance of making the team due to Russell Westbrook's injury. Garrett could also just as easily be let go once final rosters are announced, but either way, he's not going to be worth owning in fantasy.
