A day later, he's apparently still experiencing significant discomfort, as he's being ruled out for Thursday's game over 24 hours in advance. In his absence, Caris LeVert, Joe Harris, Rondae Hollis Jefferson and Dante Cunningham all could see extra run.

It should be noted the Nets were getting blown out when the team announced he would not return, so the severity of the issue is unknown at this time. Carroll finished with 14 points (6-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt), 12 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 111-104 win over the Magic.

Carroll shot the ball efficiently, albeit in a limited number of attempts, and he rounded out his double-double by leading the team in rebounding. He's been quite consistent as a scorer of late, finishing between 14 and 19 points scored in six of the last seven games. Carroll is one of the few proven veteran options on the Brooklyn roster, and he should continue carrying a heavy burden at both ends Saturday against the Heat.

Carroll tallied 18 points (5-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-8 FT) five rebounds, five assists and two steals in 34 minutes during Sunday's 121-114 loss to the Cavaliers.

EDGE Analysis

Carrol is enjoying some of the best averages of his nine 0year career. His emergence from role player with the Raptors to a starter in Brooklyn has done the trick and is usually one of the highest scorers on the team whenever they take the floor. There's little doubt that Carrol will return to the Nets next season, and a high draft to complement Carroll and D'Angelo Russell will put him in a good position to continue his upswing.

Carroll scored 19 points (7-12 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT) while adding 12 rebounds, three assists and a steal in 36 minutes during Saturday's 114-106 win over the Mavericks.

EDGE Analysis

He now has 12 double-doubles on the season, six of which have come in 18 games since the beginning of February -- not bad for a player who came into 2017-18 with only eight double-doubles in his career. Also his usage and role will still lead to the occasional quiet fantasy night, Carroll should remain mostly productive down the stretch as the grizzled veteran in a young Nets starting lineup.

Carroll produced six points (1-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and one block across 25 minutes in Sunday's 120-97 loss to the Sixers.

EDGE Analysis

Carroll's second-worst shooting night of the season led to his first single-digit scoring total in the last seven games. His work on the boards remained solid, and he's now hauled in six to 10 rebounds in six of those contests. Despite the outlier Sunday, the veteran forward has enjoyed a resurgent campaign, as he came into Sunday's contest averaging career bests in points (13.7), rebounds (6.6), assists (2.1), shot attempts (11.0) and three-point attempts (5.4).

Carroll had 19 points (7-19 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one steal in 28 minutes during Tuesday's 114-101 loss to the Warriors.

EDGE Analysis

Carroll did not shoot particularly well Tuesday but still managed to produce a nice overall line. A matchup with the Warriors never bodes well for opposing fantasy production and this was the case for the majority of the Nets squad. Carroll continues to see good minutes on a nightly basis and despite the fear that he could be moved to a smaller role at some stage, he is certainly worth owning now and up until that happens.

Carroll finished with 22 points (8-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Thursday's 116-111 loss to the Kings.

EDGE Analysis

Carroll has had a surprisingly strong season, flying under the radar in many fantasy leagues. Despite appearing to be the odd man out to begin the season, he has been arguably the Nets most consistent player across the season. He has now scored in double-digits in 9 of his last 10 games, while also collecting double-figure boards in four of those. His defensive numbers have been somewhat disappointing but given he was probably acquired from the waiver wire in most leagues, he has been one of the steals of the season.

Carroll scored 16 points (6-10 FG, 3-5 3PT, 1-3 FT) to go with six rebounds and three assists in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 129-123 loss to Cleveland.

EDGE Analysis

On a team that ranks near the bottom (28th) in three-point shooting (34.7 percent), Carroll has been a consistent shooter from long range this season. Sinking 36.2 percent of his 5.2 three-point shots per game, the forward has made at least three shots from beyond the arc in three of his last four games. In his last five games, Carroll is shooting 45.1 percent from three-point range on 6.2 shots per game. As a result, he is averaging 14.6 points during this span.
