Carroll (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Suns, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll has been sidelined all season while working back from a procedure on his right ankle. While he went "pretty hard" in his return to practice Monday, the 32-year-old is a long shot to make his season debut Tuesday. That said, Carroll looks to be trending towards a return against either the Nuggets on Friday or Warriors on Saturday.

Carroll (ankle) returned to practice Monday and could return as soon as Tuesday against the Suns, Mike Scott of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll is yet to play this season while working back from a procedure on his right ankle, but he went "pretty hard" in practice Monday, per coach Kenny Atkinson, and the team believes he's close to returning. Tuesday's game may ultimately be a bit too optimistic, but Carroll figures to be back for at least one of the Nets' weekend matchups against the Nuggets (Friday) and Warriors (Saturday).

Carroll (ankle) underwent surgery Tuesday and remains without a timetable for return, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The injury that caused Carroll to miss last week's preseason finale was more serious than anticipated, requiring surgery. A timetable has yet to be established for his return, but a multi-week absence is essentially a guarantee. While he's out, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (hip) and Jared Dudley are expected to shoulder much of the burden at power forward. Hollis-Jefferson is owned in the majority of leagues, but Dudley should be available in most formats. That said, he hasn't averaged double-digit points since 2012-13 and probably represents a deep league option.

Carroll will have surgery on his ankle, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll missed last week's preseason finale with an ankle injury, but stated he expected to be ready for the regular season. However, it appears the ankle issue may be more serious than originally thought, as Carroll is now headed for surgery. What exactly the surgery is addressing is unclear at this point in time and a timetable has yet to be established. Consider Carroll out for Wednesday's opener against the Pistons and it seems possible he could be on the shelf for the next couple of weeks. That said, look for an update on a potential target date following surgery. With Allen Crabbe (ankle) also out, the Nets will be thin on the wing and should turn to guys like Joe Harris and Caris LeVert for more minutes.

Carroll (ankle) was held out of practice Sunday, Greg Logan of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dealing with an ankle injury suffered earlier this week, Carroll didn't partake in practice Sunday. Likely as a precautionary action, Carroll will probably be good to go for Wednesday's season opener.

Carroll is out with an ankle injury Friday against the Knicks but anticipates being ready for opening night, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (hip) nursing an injury, Carroll's presence for the regular season has increased importance. Encouragingly, Carroll should be ready for opening night.

Carroll will rest during Wednesday's preseason game against the Raptors, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Kenny Atkinson is reportedly looking to give Kenneth Faried minutes during his Nets debut. So, the veteran Carroll will be given the night off. He should return for Friday's preseason finale against the Knicks.

Carroll (hip) will be held out of Wednesday's season finale against the Celtics, Alex Labidou of BrooklyNets.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll will conclude the season by missing the last four games with a strained left hip. On the year, the 31-year-old appeared in 73 games, posting averages of 13.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game -- all career-bests.

Carroll (hip) is likely done for the rest of the season, Anthony Puccio of NetsDaily.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll has already been ruled out for Monday's game against the Bulls, so the fact that the team is leaning towards holding the veteran out for the rest of the season doesn't come as much of a surprise. With these final two absences, Carroll will have missed the last four games of the regular season after straining his left hip. In his absence, Allen Crabbe and Joe Harris should both be in live for extended roles.

Carroll (hip) will remain out for Monday's game against the Bulls, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll is slated to miss a third straight game, as he's still dealing with a strained left hip. With just one game left on the regular-season schedule following Monday's contest, there's certainly a chance Carroll has seen the court for the last time. With Caris LeVert (foot) also unlikely to play, guys like Allen Crabbe and Joe Harris should see big minutes on the wing.
