Daniels suffered from a Jones fracture, the team reported on Friday. The Jones fracture occurred in his right foot and he reportedly suffered from it during preparation for Las Vegas Summer League play. It is currently unknown what the timetable for recovery is following surgery, but this is the same exact injury that plagued Kevin Durant all of last season. It is also unknown as to whether Daniels will even play on the Raptors this season, as the second-round pick spent the past season playing in Australia where he averaged 15.0 points and 8.0 rebounds for the Perth Wildcats.

Daniels is recovering from eye surgery that he had performed to correct a condition called keratoconus but is expected to recover over the next month, The West Australian reports. Daniels is currently playing in Australia for the Perth Wildcats but plans to join the NBA's Raptors at some point during their 2014-15 campaign. His draft rights are currently owned by the Raptors, however, the former Connecticut product decided to sign a four-month deal in Australia which won't make him available to play in the NBA until sometime in December. By that time, Daniels should be fully recovered from his eye issues.

Daniels will spend four months playing in Australia before returning to the Raptors, Hearst Communications reports. It was announced in the first week of August that Daniels would go overseas to play with the Perth Wildcats of the NBL in Australia, but this most recent story throws a peculiar wrench into the situation. The NBL season generally goes from October to March, so it'd be a bit bizarre for the Wildcats to use Daniels during the first half of the regular season and then let him walk away and return to the Raptors in the middle of the NBL/NBA seasons. Until more details are released, it appears those are the facts of the situation.

Daniels is expected to sign with the Perth Wildcats in Australia, the West Austrailan reports. Daniels was drafted by the Raptors with the 37th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. With the Raptors unlikely to play him much at all this season, he should be stashed overseas for a season or two before the team officially decides whether or not to sign him to an NBA contract.
