Kings head coach Luke Walton said Tuesday after Sacramento's 134-120 loss to Minnesota that Fox was held to 28 minutes due to tweaking his ankle earlier in the contest, Sean Cunningham of ABC 10 Sacramento reports.

Walton didn't express too much concern about Fox's injury and went on to suggest that the point guard's minutes were capped in some part due to the Kings playing the second half of a back-to-back set Wednesday, also against Minnesota. Fox sounds like he'll be able to play through the ankle issue, but those planning on rolling him out in DFS lineups will still want to revisit his status prior to Wednesday's 10 p.m. ET tipoff. Fox came into the contest averaging 30.5 points and 7.8 assists over his past eight games, so Tuesday's performance was a letdown by his standards. He struggled to convert from two-point range and played his fewest minutes since Jan. 15. There shouldn't be much concern about Fox based on this one-game sample, however, as the point guard is averaging career-best marks of 25.1 points and 7.2 assists on the season.

Fox compiled 27 points (11-21 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 5-7 FT), eight assists, three rebounds and a steal across 40 minutes in Thursday's 122-114 loss to the Suns.

EDGE Analysis

Fox is not to blame for the Kings' nine-game skid, as he's averaged 27.3 points, 6.6 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 2.0 steals during the cold snap. Rather, it's a less-than-stellar defense that's yielding too many points, which was the primary culprit in Thursday's loss.

Fox finished Wednesday's loss to Washington with 33 points (13-28 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six assists, five rebounds, six steals and a blocked shot across 40 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Fox couldn't prevent Sacramento from taking the loss, but he didn't disappoint fantasy managers who roster him with another big performance. His six steals tied a career high, and he logged his third straight game of 30-plus points. Over his past six contests, Fox is averaging 31.2 points, 7.0 dimes, 5.2 boards, 2.3 three-pointers and 2.3 steals while shooting 47.4 percent from the field.

Fox scored 43 points (15-30 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 8-15 FT) to go along with six rebounds, six assists and one steal across 39 minutes in Monday's loss to the Pelicans.

EDGE Analysis

Fox matched his season-high with 30 shots from the field and was effective from both two and three-point range. On the other hand, he was horrific from the free-throw line, where he also matched his season-high number of attempts. Otherwise, Fox's production remained strong across the board, as he tallied at least one steal for the 12 consecutive game and at least six assists for the fifth straight contest.

Fox posted 30 points (11-20 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 4-6 FT), eight assists, two rebounds and two steals across 39 minutes in Saturday's loss against the Jazz.

EDGE Analysis

Fox paced the Kings in both points and assists, and the speedy point guard continues to carry the team offensively. The former Kentucky standout has scored at least 30 points in six of his previous 11 appearances and is the undisputed go-to player on offense for the Kings even when things are going south. He is averaging 28.5 points per game during that aforementioned 11-game stretch.

Fox produced 23 points (8-19 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 7-11 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a blocked shot across 37 minutes in Thursday's 113-101 loss to Detroit.

EDGE Analysis

Fox got into foul trouble and didn't do much in the fourth quarter as a result. The Kings have now dropped four straight after signs that they were getting their act together, but the blame shouldn't be directed at Fox, who keeps putting up superlative numbers. Even through this skid, he's averaged 23.3 points, 6.8 assists and 4.8 rebounds.

Fox went for 31 points (8-16 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 13-15 FT), nine assists, six rebounds and two steals in 38 minutes of Monday's loss to the Timberwolves.

EDGE Analysis

Fox made a living Monday at the charity stripe, setting a career high in both free throws made and attempted. He's now hit the 30-point mark thirteen times this season after only doing so nine times in his first three years in the league. Fox is also showing his worth on the defensive side of the ball, collecting steals in eight of his last nine outings. Monday also marked the first time in his last six contests that he failed to block a shot.

Fox scored 27 points (10-24 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT) and added six assists, three rebounds, one steal and one block across 38 minutes Saturday in the Kings' 129-128 loss to the Bucks.

EDGE Analysis

Though Fox and the Kings fell short in their upset bid, the 23-year-old was at least able to get back on track after being held to 12 points on 5-for-20 shooting from the field in Friday's loss to the Clippers. The 12-point outing marked the only time Fox has scored fewer than 24 points in any of the Kings' last eight contests.

Fox registered 12 points (5-20 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five assists, three steals, a rebound and a block across 29 minutes in Friday's loss against the Lakers.

EDGE Analysis

Fox was able to end up as one of Sacramento's four players that scored in double digits and paced the team in assists, but he struggled from the floor all night long and needed 20 shots just to record 12 points -- that speaks volumes about his lack of efficiency. Fox ended a streak of six straight games with at least 20 points, though, so all the signs would seem to indicate this game was nothing more than a bump on the road for the 2017 first-round pick.
