Arthur (knee) won't play in Sunday's preseason game against the Lakers, Harrison Wind of BSN Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arthur has yet to make his preseason debut while he remains limited following arthroscopic knee surgery in September. With Arthur out of the picture, Kenneth Faried has been getting more work on the second unit, as coach Michael Malone has chose to go with an ultra-big starting frontcourt of Jusuf Nurkic and Nikola Jokic in the first two preseason contests. If Jokic ends up seeing regular time at power forward when the regular season begins, Arthur's minutes would be negatively affected as a result.

Arthur (knee) won't play in Monday's preseason opener against the Raptors, Chris Dempsey of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arthur is the only Nuggets player who will be unavailable for Monday's contest, as he continues to recover from the left knee scope he required a few weeks ago. Coach Mike Malone recently said that he's hopeful Arthur will be "full go" in a few weeks, according to Dempsey, so it seems likely that the reserve forward will miss multiple preseason contests.

Arthur (knee) was limited during Friday's practice, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arthur is still recovering from his left knee surgery he underwent a few weeks ago and has continued to be a limited participant in practice. The forward seems to be positively progressing, however, considering he's been running for a couple of weeks. Assuming Arthur continues on his path to recovery, he will see minutes in the Nuggets' rotation in front of fellow teammates Danilo gallinari, Wilson Chandler, and Jusuf Nurkic.

Arthur (knee) is expected to receive full clearance midway through training camp, Harrison Wind of BSN Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arthur underwent a knee scope earlier this month to remove some bone debris, but he's already resumed running for a week and a half, indicating he's progressing in a positive manner. Assuming Arthur's recovery timetable remains on track, he'll be a rotation option for coach Mike Malone to open the regular season, but he'll likely see his minutes take a bit of hit now that Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler and Jusuf Nurkic are back to full health.

Arthur is still recovering from surgery on one of his knees and will be limited when training camp begins Tuesday, Chris Dempsey of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though it wasn't reported at the time, Arthur underwent a knee scope two weeks ago and is still working his way back to full strength. Arthur, who re-signed with the Nuggets on a three-year, $23 million contract this summer, was sidelined for the tail end of last season while he experienced left knee soreness, so that's presumably the knee that he had scoped. It's expected that Arthur will be eased back into full basketball activities as camp progresses, but even if the veteran remains unavailable or restricted once the season begins, the Nuggets should be able to manage just fine. With Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari and Jusuf Nurkic all healthy after missing extensive chunks of last season with injuries and the team adding first-round pick Juan Hernangomez to the roster, the Nuggets have an abundance of depth in the frontcourt, which could end up limiting Arthur's role once he's back to 100 percent.

Arthur agreed to a three-year, $23 million deal with the Nuggets on Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reports.
EDGE Analysis
After opting out of his $2.94 million player option in June, Arthur will return to the Nuggets with a significant pay raise. Arthur averaged 7.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and .8 steals over 21.7 minutes per game last season, his best season since 2011 when he was a member of the Grizzlies.

Arthur officially declined his $2.94 million player option for 2016-17 and will become an unrestricted free agent, Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arthur provided some quality work for the Nuggets in a reserve role last season, averaging 7.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 21.7 minutes per game over 70 appearances while shooting 38.5 percent from three-point range. While the Nuggets probably would have liked to have him back in 2016-17, the team's considerable depth at both forward spots likely means they won't be able to offer Arthur the sort of multi-year deal he's looking for.

Arthur (knee) is considered doubtful to play in Wednesday's season finale versus the Trail Blazers, Harrison Wind of BSN Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
After missing three games to start the month, Arthur returned to play 12 minutes Sunday against the Jazz. He's apparently still bothered by the knee, however, and will likely sit out Wednesday as the Nuggets close out another lottery season.

Arthur (personal) had five points (2-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt) and three rebounds in 12 minutes during the Nuggets' 100-84 loss to the Jazz on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Arthur returned to the lineup after missing time due to a family matter and knee soreness, and the verteran managed to commit five fouls in his 12 minutes. As a result, he logged his lowest number of minutes since Mar. 6. Arthur averaged 25 minutes per game in the month of March, which he capped with a 24-point, nine-rebound showing. Despite Sunday's less than stellar performance, Arthur could see decent minutes in Wednesday's season finale if Kenneth Faried (undisclosed) remains sidelined.

Arthur (personal) is expected to be available for Sunday's game against the Jazz, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arthur missed Friday's tilt with the Spurs due to a family matter, but has returned for Sunday. Arthur has a sore left knee as well that has been affecting his play, so the rest may have done him some good. Nurkic started at power forward in place of Arthur and Kenneth Faried (undisclosed) on Friday, and it's possible that either he or Arthur get the start today if Faried continues to sit out.
