Miller (biceps) won't play in Monday's exhibition game against the Hawks, Andrew Lopez of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll be sidelined for the second straight preseason contest with the left biceps strain, which he may have suffered in the early days of training camp. The Pelicans haven't indicated that the injury is an especially serious one for Miller, so the expectation is that he'll be ready to go before the start of the regular season Oct. 17. Miller is expected to be one of the first forwards off the bench for the Pelicans after averaging 7.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.8 three-pointers and 1.4 assists in 23.7 minutes per game while suiting up in all 82 contests in 2017-18.

Miller has been ruled out for Sunday's preseason opener against the Bulls.
EDGE Analysis
Miller came into the day with a doubtful designation, so this latest update doesn't come as much of a surprise. With the Pelicans heading into a back-to-back set, there's a decent chance Miller is also held out of Monday's matchup. That said, there hasn't been any indication that Miller's injury could linger into the regular season, so he shouldn't miss any meaningful cation. Miller will be joined on the sidelines by Nikola Mirotic (Achilles).

Miller is dealing with a left biceps strain and is listed as doubtful for Sunday's preseason opener against the Bulls.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear when Miller picked up the injury, but with the Pelicans opening up the preseason slate with back-to-back games Sunday and Monday, the forward will likely get at least one of those contests off to recover. That said, considering he wasn't ruled out entirely, that suggests a return from Miller could come in the near future.

Miller managed eight points (3-4 FG, 2-2 3Pt) and one rebound across 15 minutes during New Orleans' 111-102 win over the Trail Blazers in Game 2 of their Western Conference first-round playoff series.
EDGE Analysis
Miller frequently turned in efficient scoring performances off the bench during the regular season, and Tuesday's effort was a fitting postseason example of such. The fourth-year forward's production will undoubtedly fluctuate during the playoffs with rotations being much tighter, but he's now averaged a serviceable 14.5 minutes over the first two games against the Trail Blazers.

Miller posted seven points (3-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 31 minutes during Friday's 122-103 win over the Suns.
EDGE Analysis
While Miller didn't do much in terms of production, His minutes were not simply due to extended time in a blowout. E'Twaun Moore has had his share of struggles and Miller has seen 25 minutes or more a number of times in recent weeks. Based on his minutes alone he's worth monitoring if Moore hits a cold stretch in the playoffs.

Miller totaled 14 points (5-11 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three assists, two rebounds and one steal across 27 minutes in Sunday's 109-104 loss to the Thunder.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old wing continues to make occasional noise off the bench, as he's now posted three double-digit scoring efforts in the last four contests. Miller has shot between 44.4 and 57.1 percent in four of the past five games as well, and he's drained multiple threes in three of the last four. Given his steady second-unit role and ability to also provide some decent contributions elsewhere, Miller remains a DFS punt play option on any given night.

Miller will return to a bench role for Tuesday's tilt with the Trail Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
Miller picked up the start Saturday against the Rockets, posting 11 points and three rebounds across 27 minutes. Nikola Mirotic missed that game with a hip injury and Emeka Okafor played just eight minutes off the bench, which likely was the reasoning behind the hefty workload. Mirotic has since been cleared for a return and the Pelicans are opting to push Okafor back into the starting lineup, which sends Miller to his usual bench role and likely means he'll see his minutes decrease a bit.

Miller will start Saturday against the Rockets.
EDGE Analysis
The Pelicans are rolling with their 15th different starting lineup of the season, as Miller will start in the frontcourt alongside Anthony Davis. Emeka Okafor will come off the bench for the contest but could still see a solid workload with Nikola Mirotic (hip) ruled out.

Miller pitched in 13 points (4-7 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound and one assist across 30 minutes in Saturday's 107-101 loss to the Rockets.
EDGE Analysis
Miller continues to offer the occasional double-digit scoring performance off the bench, with Saturday marking his third such effort over the last five. However, his production remains consistently inconsistent, as he's also posted single-digit scoring tallies on eight occasions since the All-Star break. He's capable of nominal contributions in rebounds and assists as well, but he isn't really fantasy-viable outside of deeper formats.

Miller scored 20 points (6-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT) while adding an assist and a block in 33 minutes off the bench during Friday's 116-97 loss to the Wizards.
EDGE Analysis
With no one in the starting five stepping up for the Pelicans in the absence of Anthony Davis (ankle), it fell to the streaky Miller to carry the offense. It's the third time this season the 27-year-old has scored at least 20 points, but he also managed only eight points in his prior three games combined, and when his shot isn't falling Miller offers little upside in other fantasy categories.
