Daniel Gibson (elbow) is listed as a game-time call on Friday against the Hawks.
Boobie put in a full practice on Thursday, but the medical staff wants to see how his elbow responds on Friday. If Gibson can't play, Jeremy Pargo and Dion Waiters will see all the minutes they can handle.

Daniel Gibson (elbow) was back at practice on Thursday.
He had an X-ray and an MRI to be sure everything was fine structurally and they came back clean. He should produce some 3-pointers at the very least with Kyrie Irving (finger) not close to a return and is worth a look in deeper formats. Owners should consider Boobie as probable to play Friday.

The X-ray on Daniel Gibson (elbow) came back negative and he is listed as day-to-day.
Gibson missed Tuesday's game as a late scratch and Boobie could still miss more time. He should also get an MRI on the injury, so we'll pass along that info once it is available. Gibson does have some promise with Kyrie Irving (finger) out of the lineup, but Boobie won't be worth owning until he's able to show he is healthy.

Daniel Gibson, who was slated undergo an MRI on his ailing right elbow Wednesday, tweeted this afternoon there's "No sympathy needed.. Just gonna personally change the cards I was dealt & play those."
According to multiple Cavs beat writers, the team was expected to release a formal update on Gibson some time Wednesday, but Boobie's tweet may be hint that bad news is on the horizon. We'll let you know as soon as we have official word.

Daniel Gibson is a late scratch for Tuesday with a lingering right elbow injury.
He played on Monday but the elbow, which has bothered him for some time, acted up on him again on Tuesday. This should mean more minutes and production opportunities for Jeremy Pargo, who is filling in at point guard for Kyrie Irving.

Daniel Gibson scored 11 points off the bench on Monday against the Grizzlies, hitting 3-of-10 shots (including two threes) with one rebound, two assists, and one steal in 30 minutes.
Gibson's fantasy line was passable at best, but the team ran better when he was on the floor. Given Kyrie Irving's finger injury, he stands a good chance of being useful over the next few weeks and he'll have a bit of upside, too.

Daniel Gibson, playing his second game after an elbow injury, came off the bench for 11 points, two 3-pointers, three assists and one steal in 28 minutes.
Gibson has been one of the Cavs' only reliable options off the bench, and Kyrie's absence should ensure more minutes and shot attempts for at least a few weeks.

Daniel Gibson played through his sore elbow but missed all three of his shots, finishing with three points and six assists in 25 minutes.
It's quickly become clear that Jeremy Pargo is the guy to own in the absence of Kyrie Irving (finger), but Gibson's minutes were solid tonight. Once he's fully healthy he could split minutes with Pargo until Irving's return, but Pargo is the one to own for now.

Daniel Gibson (elbow) said that he will play on Friday.
Gibson said this is the first time his elbow has felt "right" since the injury, and his short-term outlook is promising with Kyrie Irving out with a fractured finger. Give him a look if you need a short-term boost in points and 3-pointers.

Daniel Gibson (elbow) will sit out Wednesday's game against the 76ers.
Gibson was an option for the Cavs at PG with Kyrie Irving (finger) out, but, at least for Wednesday, Byron Scott will have to turn elsewhere. Expect Dion Waiters to have a very big role against the Sixers, while Jeremy Pargo is starting and is worth a speculative add with Boobie out. If he does well, he could cement a future role for the next few weeks. The same thing can be said for Donald Sloan, but he'll have to make an impression coming off the bench.
