The Frenchman flamed out of the league after two uneventful years with the Bucks, during which time he dealt with a nagging foot injury and played in only 20 games. He's expected to join the Knicks' D-League club in Westchester to begin the year.

A second-round pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, Inglis missed his first season entirely due to a foot injury and then went on to play in just 20 games during the 2015-16 season. Inglis was unable to work himself into more than just a deep reserve role, so the Bucks felt it was in their best interest to let go of him and open up a roster spot. At just 21 years old, Inglis still has some potential to develop, so he'll at least get some looks for a training camp invite.

Inglis, who was held out of his entire rookie season due to a fractured foot, averaged 1.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.2 blocks during eight minutes per game through 20 games in the 2015-16 season.

Inglis made most of his impact towards the end of the season, playing in 12 games since March 12, including a 10-point, 5-rebound performance on March 17. The 20-year-old could see an expanded role next season as he continues to grow as a player behind Giannis Antekokounmpo on the depth chart. Inglis is under contract through the 2017-18 season.

Inglis will get the start at two guard in Sunday's game against Chicago, C.F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Inglis will receive the start with Khris Middleton sitting due to a left thigh strain. According to Gardner Inglis has sat out three of Milwaukee's last four games as a coach's decision, so it is hard to tell what Inglis' work load will be like on Sunday. However, the Bucks only have 10 available players for Sunday's game, and given that they are eliminated from playoff contention, it wouldn't be shocking to see head coach Jason Kidd experiment with his second-year forward from France.

Inglis played only six minutes in Saturday's loss to Detroit.

EDGE Analysis

After spending most of the early part of the season glued to the bench or in the D-League, Inglis has seen a slightly increased role in March, appearing in eight contests and averaging 2.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 8.0 minutes per game. The uptick in minutes coincided with rookie Rashad Vaughn being sent to the D-League, but with Vaughn now back, Inglis' minutes will likely be few and far between down the stretch.

Inglis contributed 10 points (3-5 FG, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists and three blocks over 22 minutes in Thursday's 96-86 victory over the Grizzlies.

The rookie forward surprisingly received a career-high allotment of playing time, after having been on the court for a combined nine minutes over the previous three games, and for seven total minutes between Nov. 11 and Mar. 9. All of his numbers Thursday represented career bests as well, and he encouragingly was given the opportunity in what was a competitive contest. Inglis could be in line for similar run over the balance of the regular season, although he remains buried down the official small forward depth chart at the moment.

Inglis has been recalled the Westchester Knicks of the NBA D-League, the team announced Monday.

EDGE Analysis

Inglis has played in 13 games for the Knicks after being assigned in mid-January, and he has averaged 9.9 points and 4.9 rebounds in 21.4 minutes over that span. The move likely comes as a result of Steve Novak being ruled out for the remainder of the season with a left knee injury, and while Inglis likely won't see much of the court this season, he does add depth on the wing for the Bucks.

Inglis is averaging 10.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists through 11 D-League games.

EDGE Analysis

Inglis was sent to the D-League midway through last month and has spent time with the Canton Charge, as well as the Westchester Knicks. The 2014 second-rounder is shooting just 41.6 percent from the floor while knocking down 34.3 percent of his three-point attempts (3.2 attempts/game). It's unclear when Inglis will return to Milwaukee, but the 20-year-old looks to be at least another year away from being a meaningful contributor at the NBA level.

Inglis finished with six points, four rebounds, an assist and a steal in his D-league debut Saturday.
