It is "uncertain" how long both Chris Wilcox (groin) and Jermaine O'Neal (wrist) will be out. The Celtics are said to be targeting another big man, but the free agent options are extraordinarily slim at this juncture of the season. Boston went small in its last game with Mickael Pietrus starting, but the team is looking to bring in another big man for depth in this compacted season.

Chris Wilcox (groin) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Thunder. Wilcox was not expected to play after injuring himself in Monday's game and is not considered a lock to return after the All-Star break. The veteran has been banged up quite a bit this season but had done a good job filling in for Kevin Garnett recently. Wilcox being on the sidelines thins out the Celtics even further with Rajon Rondo (suspension) also out. JaJuan Johnson stands to take Wilcox's role in the rotation.

Chris Wilcox suffered a strained right adductor on Monday and did not return to the game, finishing with two points on 1-of-3 shooting and one rebound in 13 minutes. It's safe to say the ride is over for Wilcox in fantasy leagues, but he did a good enough job in both fantasy and reality to be worth a look if he's healthy and the Celtics remain banged up. The Celtics had no update on the status of Chris Wilcox or Jermaine O'Neal (wrist) after the game.

Chris Wilcox scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds in a start for Kevin Garnett (personal) on Sunday, one of the only bright spots for Boston in a disappointing loss to Detroit. Ray Allen (13 points, four assists) and Paul Pierce (18 points) were both mediocre, which wasn't going to be enough with KG out and Rajon Rondo ejected in the third quarter. Expect a better effort all around vs. the Mavericks on Monday.

Chris Wilcox scored nine points on 4-of-7 shooting with three rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks in 26 minutes off the bench on Thursday. Wilcox saved his line with the defensive stats, which is fairly surprising since he's not known for stealing or blocking the ball. We wouldn't expect him to have similar luck going forward, and with Kevin Garnett (hip) back in the fold the brief ride he took owners on could be over.

Chris Wilcox started for injured Kevin Garnett (hip) and scored 17 points on Wednesday, hitting 8-of-12 shots from the field with nine rebounds, three assists, and a steal in 32 minutes. Wilcox has been playing well lately and is well worth a look if you need a forward in the very short-term. Garnett reportedly looked good in warmups, and unfortunately for Wilcox it could mean that he's marginalized sooner rather than later.

After notching 11 points and nine rebounds in Sunday's victory, Chris Wilcox defined his role on the Celtics in three words -- "run the floor." Doc Rivers confirmed as much after the game, saying, "Chris was phenomenal with his speed." Wilcox is finally healthy and says he's found a better rhythm with Rajon Rondo, which was evident in Sunday's game. He's at least worth watching, given the state of Boston's frontcourt.

Chris Wilcox started in place of the injured Jermaine O'Neal (shoulder) on Sunday, and responded with 11 points, nine rebounds and a block. We learned before the game that Brandon Bass (knee) is expected to miss at least 7-10 days, and it's unknown when O'Neal will return, so Wilcox is going to see plenty of action over the next few weeks. Wilcox could be worth a short-term look for those in need of a big man, but will only have value as long as Bass is out.

Chris Wilcox scored a season-high 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting with six rebounds, two turnovers, and no other statistics in 22 minutes off the bench on Friday. This might be the best game he has all year, so obviously Wilcox has no real fantasy value.

Chris Wilcox (calf) returned to action on Thursday against the Magic, scoring four points on 2-of-2 shooting with three rebounds and one steal in 19 minutes. Wilcox provides much-needed frontcourt depth for the Celtics, but does not have any fantasy value.
