Chris Wilcox will be sidelined indefinitely after tests revealed a possible heart condition. Coach Doc Rivers said the condition could be aorta-related, very similar to the one teammate Jeff Green has. Wilcox will undergo more tests in the coming days, but at this point, it seems as though his season could be jeopardy.

Chris Wilcox is now listed as "out indefinitely" for the Celtics. Wilcox has been attending to a personal matter, and as long as he's out the Celtics have no choice but to lean on Greg Stiemsma and possibly JaJuan Johnson. Kevin Garnett will continue to play at center, logging as many minutes as his aging body will allow.

Chris Wilcox (personal) and Mickael Pietrus (knee) have been ruled out for the Celtics on Friday night. Wilcox has been the first big off the bench for Boston with Jermaine O'Neal out indefinitely. With Wilcox out, Greg Stiemsma could see an increase in minutes. Ray Allen and Paul Pierce figure to get less rest, picking up even more minutes than usual in the place of an ailing Pietrus.

Chris Wilcox (personal) is a surprise game-time decision on Friday. The Celtics have not disclosed the personal matter Wilcox is dealing with, but it sounds like he'll be a true game-time decision. Wilcox has been the first big man off the bench without Jermaine O'Neal in the lineup, and if he can't play, it would be a big blow to Boston's rotation. Greg Stiemsma would likely see an increase in minutes if Wilcox can't go, while JaJuan Johnson could also garner some playing time. However, neither are recommended short-term plays.

Chris Wilcox was quiet on Sunday, scoring six points and grabbing three rebounds in just 16 minutes of action. Brandon Bass rolled his ankle in this one and missed some time, but Wilcox couldn't take advantage. However, deep league owners who recently added Wilcox shouldn't panic just yet. Coach Doc Rivers decided to go with a smaller lineup for much of the game, inserting Mickael Pietrus. The injury that Bass sustained didn't seem too serious, but if misses any time, Wilcox would likely be moved into the starting lineup.

Chris Wilcox took advantage of Brandon Bass' early foul trouble on Friday, finishing with 14 points and seven rebounds. Wilcox has been quiet as of late, but was able to put a nice line together tonight, albeit against the Nets. Brandon Bass is still the better add, and Wilcox will lose most of the value he currently has once the Celtics get fully healthy.

Chris Wilcox came off the bench and had seven points, 13 rebounds, two steals and a block in Wednesday's win. Starter Brandon Bass had 16 points, seven rebounds and a block, and while Bass looks like the better fantasy option, Wilcox should be on your radar in deep leagues.

Chris Wilcox returned from a groin injury and came off the bench for five points and 11 rebounds. He's worth a deep-league look now that he's healthy, but Brandon Bass started (Jermaine O'Neal out with wrist injury) and is a better fantasy option for now.

Chris Wilcox (groin) will play in Tuesday's game against the Cavs. Wilcox will come off the bench, but still projects for a significant role as the third big man. Jermaine O'Neal (wrist) is without a timetable for return.

ESPN Boston suggests that the Celtics could consider starting Chris Wilcox (groin, day-to-day) over Jermaine O'Neal (wrist, day-to-day) soon. Note that this is mere speculation and does not come from coach Doc Rivers, who usually respects veteran's starting roles. But bringing O'Neal off the bench in an effort to keep him healthy would make some sense. If Brandon Bass (knee, day-to-day) is ready, he could also be a candidate to start over O'Neal. It's a situation to monitor more than act on in most leagues.
