Dominate The SportsBook - Get Sports Odds & Updates Sent Straight To Your Cell Phone or PDA - Check Out WagerAlarm today! The Lakers are looking for a spark and are reportedly interested in signing free agent guard Gilbert Arenas. Arenas would add punch at point guard opposite Kobe and also create a buzz in LA, which is all Clippers right now. Arenas is a Los Angeles and would love to play at Staples. If LA doesn't go that route, they could rekindle talks with Houston and again offer power forward Pau Gasol. While Chris Paul can no longer be part of a package, the Lakers would love to get emerging star Kyle Lowry. A potential deal, suggested by HoopsWorld, would  send Lowry and power forward Luis Scola to the City of Angels in exchange for Gasol. The Rockets have considerable depth at guard with Goran Dragic, Kevin Martin, Courtney Lee and Jonny Flynn. The other major trade rumor making the rounds is a result of the Paul trade. New Orleans is ready to move Chris Kaman with a number of teams interested in acquiring the seven footer. Houston, Indiana, Utah and San Antonio, among others are reportedly interested. The Hornets have been pleased with the breakout season that seven foot Jason Smith is enjoying, making Kaman expendable. Kaman, along...

NBA rosters taking shape fantasyalarm.com Sat 12/17/11 2:59 PM1 Comment

Chris Paul is settling in on the West coast, Dwight Howard appears content with staying in Florida and the rest of the Association is tinkering with rosters in advance of the season tipping off on Christmas Day. Most of the marquee names have found a new home or re-signed with their old clubs. For now, teams are adding a piece here and there or trimming down their rosters to thirteen players. Lets take a look at recent movement and what might be left. In one of the more underrated moves of free agency, Portland has added combo guard Jamal Crawford. Crawford was desperately needed with Brandon Roy's retirement and to some extent another lost season for Greg Oden. The Trail Blazers met Crawford's demands by giving him a two year deal with a player option after this season should Crawford wish to join the impact free agent class of 2013. New Orleans will be much improved this season with the latest addition power forward Carl Landry. Landry is an excellent backup to Emeka Okafor and the recently acquired Chris Kaman. Much like the Crawford deal, Landry may explore free agency after the 2012 season. The Hornets also signed seven footer Jason Smith who is effective off the bench. Teams looking for a situational shooter off the bench are negotiating with Michael Redd. The Knicks have lost out on several mid-level free agents in the last few days, but are in desperate need of back court help and Redd would fill that role nicely. Cleveland has executed its amnesty exception on guard Baron Davis. Much like Chauncey Billups a week ago, Davis joins the free agent market going to the highest bidder. With Rodney Stuckey opting to stay with Detroit, Denver's Arron Afallo is the top shooting guard left on the market. Afallo is expected to stay with Denver if George Karl has his way. Afallo is restricted, so expect the Nuggets to match any reasonable offers. Who...
