Andersen was inactive for Tuesday's loss to the Timberwolves.
EDGE Analysis
Birdman hasn't played in the Heat's last five games and looks to be trade bait at this point. Miami has already parted ways with Mario Chalmers this season, and the under-utilized Andersen may be the next veteran reserve to head elsewhere.

Andersen will be active for Tuesday's matchup with Atlanta, Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen is yet to appear in a game this season, and the 37-year-old appears poised to step into a reduced role this season after averaging more than 18 minutes per game in 2014-15. His active designation Tuesday comes on the heels of the Heat ruling out Amar'e Stoudemire (knees, rest).

Andersen will be a healthy scratch for Friday's game against the Cavaliers.
EDGE Analysis
After failing to see the floor in Wednesday's season opener, Andersen has simply fallen out of the rotation and will simply serve as a healthy scratch for the Heat. Even when he does dress, it's unlikely the veteran big man will receive meaningful enough minutes to be fantasy-relevant in most formats.

Andersen (illness) posted two points (1-4 FG), seven assists, and three steals over 15 minutes in Sunday's 101-92 victory over the Hawks.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen was strong on the boards for the second consecutive game, and the three swipes were a preseason high. Currently a bit further down the depth chart at power forward than in past year, it remains to be seen to what extent the offseason acquisition of Amar'e Stoudemire will impact Andersen's minutes in the 2015-16 campaign.

Andersen will return to the lineup Sunday, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen missed Saturday's preseason game against the Rockets with an illness. He looks to be feeling much better Sunday and will return to the lineup. Expect him to be available for the rest of the season, where he'll provide depth in the frontcourt.

Andersen (illness) won't play in Saturday's preseason game.
EDGE Analysis
Considering he returned to practice Friday, this does not seem like a major issue, and is likely more of just a night off for a veteran.

Andersen (illness) returned to practice Friday, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
The illness kept Andersen out of Thursday's practice session, but was never considered anything too severe. The 37-year-old is expected to see a limited bench role with the Heat this season.

Andersen averaged 5.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, and 0.7 assists in 18.9 minutes per game through 60 games in the 2014-15 season. Andersen's lackluster campaign in 2014-15 was due in large part to several injuries suffered throughout the season. In his lone 13 game starting streak early in the season for Miami, Andersen averaged 7.6 points and 5.7 rebounds. However, the combination of Andersen's plethora of injuries and the emergence of Hassan Whiteside as a capable starting center limited Andersen's opportunities the second half of the season. With younger, healthier options at center in Miami, Andersen has little fantasy value for the upcoming season. Andersen's current contract is set to expire after the 2015-16 season.

Andersen (foot) had six points (2-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) with five rebounds in 13 minutes in the loss to Toronto on Saturday. Andersen has been limited to 13 minutes or fewer in his last three games. He hit his fourth 3-pointer of the season, but the 13-year veteran looks like he will end his season with a whimper.

Andersen (foot) is listed as probable for Saturday's contest versus the Raptors, the Miami Herald reports. Despite dealing with a lingering left foot sprain, Andersen has averaged 3.6 points (on 47 percent shooting), 3.4 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks in 15 minutes per game over the last five.
