Chase Budinger (knee) said that he's doing guard workouts in pre-camp. He's focusing on coming off ball screens, pin downs and dribbling. Budinger's knee sounds like he's close to 100 percent and he should be ready to go for camp. The Wolves did add Kevin Martin at shooting guard and are very thin at small forward with Corey Brewer and rookie Shabazz Muhammad, so Budinger should see most of his time at small forward. He's a good bet to match his 1.1 triples per game from last season and could add to it, as well.

Chase Budinger said that his surgically-repaired knee feels "great" and he's "able to jump and dunk again." He accepted less money to re-sign with the Wolves and he projects as the starting SF on opening night, with Corey Brewer playing sixth-man. Budinger is a career 35.8 percent shooter from downtown, and his per-36-minute average suggests modest fantasy value in an expanded role next year -- 15.7 points, 1.8 threes, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.5 blocks.

The Timberwolves, Bucks and Pelicans have all made Chase Budinger "a priority" in free agency, according to Yahoo! Sports. Other teams with interest include the Jazz, Pacers and Grizzlies, as Budinger's knee surgery last season clearly hasn't dampened his value around the league. He's said that he wants to re-sign in Minnesota as long as Rick Adelman is the head coach, and all signs point to Adelman staying, but a hefty offer sheet could always change his mind.

President of basketball operations David Kahn is hoping to re-sign unrestricted free agent Chase Budinger. The Timberwolves have made it clear that they plan to target a legitimate shooting guard in the offseason, but the club also wants to keep Budinger around after he made a positive impression in limited action this season. It's unclear what kind of deal he'll be seeking, but it's worth noting the team gave up a first-round pick to acquire him before the 2012/13 season began.

Chase Budinger, who will be an unrestricted free agent after the season, wants to return to the Timberwolves only if Rick Adelman remains the head coach. Adelman previously said he's planning to come back next season unless he learns something new regarding his wife's health. "I like the staff. I love Adelman," Budinger said. "That's a big part of it." Budinger admitted he's still not 100 percent after knee surgery and will spend the offseason ensuring he gets back to previous form.

Chase Budinger played 27 minutes, but hit just 3-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for seven points, one rebound and two assists. He blew up for 17 points and six boards on Tuesday in similar minutes, but never got it going tonight. With Dante Cunningham sidelined with a hamstring injury, it's possible that Budinger continues to get close to 30 minutes a game to finish out the season, so it would not be surprising to see him bounce back from this performance.

Chase Budinger played 27 minutes and hit 7-of-15 shots and two 3-pointers for 17 points and six rebounds in Tuesday's loss. Budinger has had a couple good games since returning, but had been struggling prior to this one. If he continues to get more minutes than Derrick Williams, he might end up being a sneaky add for the last few games of the season.

Chase Budinger scored 13 points on 4-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds and one steal in 23 minutes off the bench on Friday. Budinger is returning low-end numbers in standard leagues right now, and with a pair of four-game weeks upcoming he's well worth a look even if things are crowded in Minny. He led the bench with 23 minutes played tonight.
