Alexander did not play during Friday's 119-99 loss to Lakeland due to a right ankle injury.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander has been out since scoring 10 points on Feb. 3 as a result of his injury. There is no timeable return for Alexander as he recovers from it, as the Herd are set to play Westchester Saturday. The 22-year-old from Kansas is averaging 16.2 points and 6.6 rebounds this season.

Alexander was waived by the Pelicans on Saturday, Scott Kushner of The Advocate reports.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander joined the Pelicans for training camp, but didn't make much of an impact over four preseason games and averaged just 2.3 points and 3.8 rebounds across 8.8 minutes. He'll likely settle for a stint in the G-League start the 2017-18 campaign, though he should receive interest as a potential call-up later in the year after injuries run their course across the NBA.

Alexander signed a one-year, non-guaranteed contract with the Pelicans on Sunday, Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders reports.
EDGE Analysis
After taking part in just eight games with the Trail Blazers during the 2015-16 season, Alexander was out of the league last year and instead, played in the G-League. In 40 games combined between the Bayhawks and Nets of the G-League, Alexander averaged a solid 15.8 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.0 block across 27.3 minutes, while also shooting 52 percent from the field. He'll now join the Pelicans for training camp, but will have an uphill battle to make the regular-season roster. More likely, Alexander will eventually return to the G-League to further develop his skills at the start of the 2017-18 campaign.

Alexander was waived by the Magic on Sunday, Jeff Goodman of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander was a bit of a long shot to get a final roster spot with the Magic, but still could have an opportunity to get picked up by another team. Either way, he's not likely to provide much value fantasy-wise.

Alexander signed a training camp contract with the Magic on Wednesday, Brian K. Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
A top recruit coming out of high school in 2014, Alexander endured a difficult freshman season at Kansas and ultimately went undrafted upon turning pro last spring. Given his pedigree, the 20-year-old still drew interest from several clubs as an undrafted free agent, and ultimately latched on with the Trail Blazers, who kept him on the roster all season. Still, the raw Alexander rarely saw the floor, appearing in only eight games and averaging 1.3 points and 0.8 rebounds in 4.5 minutes per contest. He wasn't much better in summer league for Portland, who finally gave up on the 6-foot-9 forward in July in order to clear a roster spot for Festus Ezeli. Alexander will get an opportunity to prove he's an NBA-caliber player while auditioning for a roster spot in Orlando, but it's just as likely that he'll get cut and will have to try to forge his career elsewhere.

Alexander cleared waivers and will join the Trail Blazers' Summer League team Sunday, Jason Quick of CSN Northwest reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being waived by the club earlier in the week to create cap space, Alexander will join up with Portland's Summer League team in Las Vegas beginning on Sunday. The former Kansas Jayhawk would likely have to put together a huge showing during summer league to get a training camp invite. He appeared in just eight games with the Trail Blazers last season, averaging 1.3 points and .8 rebounds over 4.5 minutes of work.

Alexander was waived by the Trail Blazers on Thursday night, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reports.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander was reportedly released to create cap room for newly acquired Festus Ezeli. The 6-8 forward averaged only 1.3 points and 0.8 rebounds in eight games played his rookie season. If there is a bright side for Alexander, the ex-Jayhawk is only 20 years old, and may find opportunity with another NBA franchise in the future given his youth.

Alexander (coach's decision) was inactive for Sunday's 118-106 Game 1 loss to the Warriors.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander was also inactive for all six games of the Blazers' first-round series with the Clippers. Unless a Blazers player suffers an injury and is forced to miss a game against the Warriors, Alexander will remain in street clothes throughout the second round.

Alexander was recalled from the D-League on Monday, The Columbian reports.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander spent four games with the Santa Cruz Warriors during this latest D-League stint, starting all four contests and averaging 15.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. The rookie out of Kansas likely won't make much of an impact for Portland down the stretch, and he remains more of a long-term, developmental prospect.
