Alexander was assigned to the D-League's Santa Cruz Warriors on Thurdsay, Erik Gunderson of the Columbian reports.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander will join teammate, Luis Montero, in the move to Santa Cruz. Alexander has seen action in just seven games this season, so the change of scenery will allow him the chance for further opportunities and extended playing. Unless injuries occur higher up in the depth chart, Alexander will remain without fantasy relevance.

Alexander has only played in seven games with the Trail Blazers this season.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander hasn't taken the court since Dec. 21, when he played only a minute against the Hawks. He isn't likely to see any major minutes this season, barring any injuries to teammates, as he is buried deep on the Blazers bench.

Alexander was inactive for Sunday's win against the Timberwolves.
EDGE Analysis
Active just one time over the Blazers' last 31 games, Alexander has been the odd man out in a frontcourt that has mostly avoided the injury bug in 2015-16. Expect the undrafted rookie to remain in street clothes for the foreseeable future on game days.

Alexander (coach's decision) was inactive for Wednesday's 109-98 loss to the Clippers.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander has played in just one of the Blazers' last 19 games. He'll need a number of injuries before he'll get an opportunity to crack the team's rotation.

Alexander made his NBA debut Sunday in Charlotte, notching four points (2-4 FG), four rebounds, and one block in 17 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander was a part of the Blazers' frontcourt rotation for the first time, which isn't a surprise given Meyers Leonard's absence due to a separated shoulder. With at least a one-month recovery expected for Leonard, Alexander has a chance to become a factor on a nightly basis, though coach Terry Stotts is apt to trust in known entities like Sunday's starting power forward Noah Vonleh, Ed Davis, and even Al-Farouq Aminu going forward. Nevertheless, Alexander got his feet wet and may have the chance to build upon his first NBA outing.

Alexander (knee) will be active for Sunday's game against the Pistons, Erik Gundersen of The Columbian reports.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander has recovered from a bruised knee he suffered in the preseason, and he is ready for game action. He is not likely to be part of the Trail Blazers' rotation out of the gate, but head coach Terry Stotts may let him get his feet wet in the NBA with a few minutes Sunday night.

Alexander has officially been listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander missed the entire preseason, as well as the first six games of the regular season, but was able to participate in some live 4-on-4 work during Tuesday's practice. After looking good in practice, it now looks as if the rookie could make his season debut Sunday. Even if he does play, he likely won't receive enough minutes to stay fantasy relevant in the majority of leagues.

Alexander is going through live 4-on-4 contact play, Casey Holdahl of NBA.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The forward missed the entirety of the Trail Blazers' preseason and continues to struggle with a bone bruise on his left knee. Although Alexander is participating in contact play, it is still unlikely that the he will see much playing time because five fellow power forwards -- Meyers Leonard, Mason Plumlee, Ed Davis, Noah Vonleh, and Chris Kaman -- all stand ahead of him on the depth chart.

Alexander (knee) is doubtful to play against New Orleans on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie has missed the Trail Blazers' entire preseason and remains uncertain to play in Portland's season opener against New Orleans. The 19-year-old power forward averaged 6.7 rebounds, 0.3 assists, and 1.5 blocks in 22 minutes per game with Brooklyn's summer league team, but if Alexander recovers, he may not see much playing time as five fellow power forwards, Meyers Leonard, Mason Plumlee, Ed Davis, Noah Vonleh, and Al-Farouq Aminu stand ahead of him in the lineup.

Fri 10/23/15 11:10 AM

Alexander (knee) missed the entirety of the Trail Blazers' preseason schedule.
EDGE Analysis
Given Alexander's status as an undrafted rookie, the Blazers may have little incentive to keep him around for the start of the regular season after failing to get a good luck at him during the exhibition schedule. As a former top prospect coming out of high school, Alexander's pedigree may afford him a little more leeway than the normal undrafted pick, but even if the Blazers elect to keep him around, he's not likely to enjoy a meaningful role off the bench once healthy.
