Lopez will enter the Clippers' starting lineup for the first time this season Tuesday in the absence of Ivica Zubac, who will be sidelined for at least three weeks due to a Grade 2 left ankle sprain. Lopez started in all 80 regular-season games for the Bucks during the 2024-25 campaign and averaged 13.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.9 blocks over 31.8 minutes per game. Lopez has struggled from the field this season (his 40.5 percent field-goal clip is a career worst), but perhaps more consistent playing time will help with his shooting woes.

Lopez tallied 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt), five rebounds and two blocks over 25 minutes during the Clippers' 103-88 win over the Lakers on Saturday.

Lopez entered Saturday's game averaging 14.2 minutes off the bench, but his 25 minutes were a season high and largely came after Ivica Zubac left in the first quarter due to a left ankle injury. Lopez would be an intriguing fantasy streamer at center for his rebounding and three-point proficiency if Zubac were to be sidelined for an extended period of time.

Lopez chipped in zero points (0-1 FG), one block and one steal across 13 minutes during Thursday's 115-113 loss to the Rockets.

EDGE Analysis

After going unused in six consecutive games in coach's decisions, Lopez has moved back into the rotation for the Clippers' last two contests, supplanting Kobe Brown as the backup center. Though he's now back in the mix for the Clippers, Lopez remains an afterthought in fantasy formats, as he's simply not getting sufficient playing time behind starter Ivica Zubac. Across 19 appearances this season, Lopez is averaging 5.8 points and 1.7 rebounds in 14.1 minutes per contest and is shooting a career-worst 39 percent from the field.

Lopez (coach's decision) didn't receive any playing time in Saturday's 114-110 loss to the Mavericks.

EDGE Analysis

Lopez has failed to see any minutes in three straight contests and looks to have at least temporarily lost his spot in the rotation while head coach Tyronn Lue has been leaning more heavily on starting center Ivica Zubac and deploying Kobe Brown and/or John Collins at the five when Zubac is resting on the bench. The move outside of the rotation comes after Lopez shot just 40.4 percent from the field and averaged 6.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.4 three-pointers and 0.8 blocks in 14.4 minutes over LA's first 17 games of the season.

Lopez ended with zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound over 11 minutes during Sunday's 120-105 loss to the Cavaliers.

EDGE Analysis

Lopez went scoreless for just the second time this season, which can partly be attributed to teammate Ivica Zubac's monster 33-point, 18-rebound explosion. While Lopez's role backing up Zubac is secure, there is no guarantee of how much time he will be on the court, which makes him a relatively unreliable option in most fantasy leagues.

Lopez produced five points (1-2 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 14 minutes during Sunday's 121-118 loss to Boston.

EDGE Analysis

Lopez continues to come off the bench behind Ivica Zubac, averaging 6.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.4 steals, 0.8 blocks and 1.4 threes in 15.4 minutes. While his fantasy value currently is extremely limited, Lopez would be a must-add should Zubac miss any time.

Lopez totaled five points (2-7 FG, 1-6 3Pt), one rebound and one steal over 15 minutes during Monday's 120-119 loss to the Heat.

EDGE Analysis

With Ivica Zubac locked into massive workloads as the featured player in the frontcourt, there isn't much room for Lopez to provide fantasy value. Through six games, he's seeing 16.0 minutes per contest with 6.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 blocks and 1.5 three-pointers.

Lopez logged three points (1-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 19 minutes in Tuesday's 98-79 loss to the Warriors.

EDGE Analysis

Despite playing a season-high 19 minutes, Lopez turned in his worst performance of the season. The big man has chipped in fewer than seven points in three consecutive games, during which he has shot just 31.3 percent from the field. The veteran center should continue serving as Ivica Zubac's primary backup and will look to bounce back in Friday's game against the Pelicans.

Lopez finished Wednesday's 129-108 loss to the Jazz with 15 points (5-12 FG, 5-11 3Pt), three rebounds and one steal in 17 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

The Clippers had an embarrassing team performance, but Lopez's debut with his new squad went well. The seven-footer attempted only one shot inside the arc, a trend that'll likely continue as he's utilized as a floor-spacing big to help create room for James Harden to operate.

Lopez (rest) isn't listed on the Clippers' injury report for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.

EDGE Analysis

Lopez will suit up in the team's regular-season opener after sitting out Friday's preseason win over the Warriors. The veteran center is expected to serve as the Clippers' primary backup behind Ivica Zubac this season.
