Roberts typically only sees the floor when either Damian Lillard or C.J. McCollum need a breather while running the offense, but coach Terry Stotts rarely leans on Roberts for more than a few minutes. The 30-year-old hasn't played more than six minutes while appearing in seven of the Blazers' eight postseason games.

Roberts garnered his most run as a Blazer in Wednesday's season finale, totaling 14 points (6-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, one assist, and one steal in 17 minutes.

The veteran guard received his highest allotment of playing time to date in a Blazers uniform, and responded with his best point total so far with his new team. Roberts has been a forgotten man in a crowded backcourt rotation that includes productive reserves Gerald Henderson and Allen Crabbe, but the bump in playing time may be a harbinger of things to come. The four-year pro has proven capable of solid offensive production, including from long-range, during his career.

After being acquired by Portland before the deadline Thursday, Roberts will be in uniform and available for the Trail Blazers' first game coming out of the All-Star break. Coach Terry Stotts noted that Roberts will assume the role that Tim Frazier had previously filled, meaning that he will be mostly a situational option off the bench. However, Roberts is a bit of an improvement over Frazier, so he could a slightly larger role than his predecessor.
