Brandan Wright (shoulder) returned to practice on Friday and said there's an "outside chance" he can play on the team's road trip. He did mention he won't play on Saturday at Portland, but the Mavs will play at Sacramento on Monday and at Golden State on Wednesday, so it's at least possible he suits up for those. Wright has been out for the season with a shoulder injury and had been doing some 5-on-0 work before this news. DeJuan Blair has recently moved into the starting lineup and even played a season-high 29 minutes on Wednesday. It'll be a bit of a logjam at center, but Wright makes for an interesting pickup in deeper leagues for his potential block totals.

Brandan Wright said in a recent interview, "whenever I feel good, whenever my legs feel good and I'm comfortable out there, I'll be ready to go." A rather vague proclamation, but the Mavs could really use Wright back, especially with the lackluster play of Samuel Dalembert as of late. Upon Wright's return, he could seriously challenge Dalembert for the starting gig, and is capable of putting up decent numbers in points, rebounds, and blocks, stay tuned.

Brandan Wright (shoulder) was doing some 5-on-0 work at practice on Friday. He isn't taking contact and has no timetable to return. Wright was playing well last season and would really help the Mavs' interior defense. He's worth stashing in some deeper leagues while owners of Samuel Dalembert and DeJuan Blair might want to prepare for a loss of some minutes.

Brandan Wright (shoulder) has been shooting around and hopes to return to practice next week. An early December return isn't out of the question, and Wright is worth watching closely if you're in need of a big man who can provide high-percentage points and a handful of rebounds and blocks. Samuel Dalembert and DeJuan Blair present an obstacle for minutes, but it wouldn't be shocking to see Wright surface with the most playing time of the three.

Brandan Wright (shoulder) still has no timetable to return. Updates have been sparse and owners should feel free to move along. This update doesn't change his timetable, but it's enough to signal that a return is not imminent.

Brandan Wright continues to recover from his left shoulder injury, but there is still no timetable on when he migh start practicing with the team. When he does start practicing and returns to game action, guys like Samuel Dalembert and DeJuan Blair could see their minutes pinched a bit. Had Wright not gotten hurt, he would have had some sleeper potential this season, but at this point, we'd just like to see him play in a game.

There is still no timetable on a return date for Brandan Wright, who will miss "an undetermined amount of time" to start the season with a fractured left shoulder. Samuel Dalembert is going to be on the court a lot as long as he can stay out of foul trouble and has had a nice preseason. DeJuan Blair is also going to get some run, but both players will take a hit when Wright is back. We just have no idea when that's going to be.

Brandan Wright (fractured shoulder) isn't sure if he'll play on opening night, and for now he's "just got to take it day-to-day." Wright missed the 2009-10 season with a shoulder injury, but that was soft-tissue damage and was a "night and day" difference from the fracture he's dealing with now. His indefinite absence thrusts DeJuan Blair and Bernard James into bigger roles, while putting inordinate pressure on Samuel Dalembert and Dirk Nowitzki to stay healthy and play solid minutes.

Brandan Wright suffered a small, non-displaced fracture of his left shoulder and is out indefinitely. He's not expected to have surgery, but the fracture should cost him some time in the regular season. It's a tough break for Wright after a productive and eye-catching offseason. Samuel Dalembert will take on most of the minutes at center and the team may have to call upon DeJuan Blair more than anticipated.

Brandan Wright will miss Wednesday's game due to a sore left shoulder. He bulked up over the summer hoping to be able to bang with opposing big men and was coming off a big game against the Pelicans on Monday. This is probably a precautionary move in order to protect their second-string center.
