Colson was extremely efficient and effective offensively once again, this after pouring in 22 points (5-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 11-13 FT), five boards, two steals, one assist, and one block in 25 minutes during Friday's summer league opener versus the 76ers. Colson's ability to put the ball in the basket from all over the floor and then crass the glass on both ends gives him an avenue toward eventual success. Still, even if he does stick with the Bucks, it won't be easy for Colson to earn consistent minutes on a contender.

Colson scored 21 points (7-16 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 4-5 FT) while adding 10 rebounds and three steals in 45 minutes during Wednesday's 127-116 loss to the Thunder.

EDGE Analysis

The rookie got two starts in the final six games of the season for a Bucks team resting starters in advance of the playoffs and racked up a big double-double in both, but Colson barely saw the court otherwise. Expect the latter to be the case when Milwaukee takes on Detroit in the first round.

Colson will start Wednesday's game against the Thunder.

He'll almost certainly revert back to a bench role soon, but he may be worth a look as a daily dart-throw if any more spot starts come his way.

Colson's move to the starting lineup comes as a surprise, even with Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) and Khris Middleton (groin) ruled out. Colson and Robert Johnson were the only effective Herd players in Saturday's loss. The Herd shot only 40% in the loss to Maine and dropped to a lowly 8-23 record. Colson has seen roughly four more minutes per game since leaving Canton for the Herd and has averaged 16.6 points and 5.1 boards with Wisconsin.
