Despite the injuries to Kristaps Porzingis (knee), Willie Cauley-Stein (thumb) and Dwight Powell (illness) throughout the year, the 32-year-old's minutes have been less than ideal. The seven-footer has only appeared in six games since January.

Marjanovic will come off the bench for Saturday's game against the Nets.

It will be the first start of the season for Marjanovic, who will be tasked with slowing down MVP candidate Joel Embiid.

Marjanovic turned in 10 points (5-7 FG), eight rebounds and one assist across 13 minutes Tuesday in the Mavericks' 110-107 win over the Celtics.

With Kristaps Porzingis (back) out, head coach Rick Carlisle turned to Marjanovic for the first time in seven games to counter the Celtics' big frontcourt. As is usually the case when he's given playing time, Marjanovic put up strong per-minute numbers, but his usage is expected to remain mostly situational. Marjanovic hasn't logged more than 20 minutes in any game this season, and he's gotten off the bench only twice since the calendar flipped to February.

Marjanovic produced 15 points (6-11 FG, 3-4 FT and 12 rebounds, across 19 minutes in Saturday's 133-108 loss to the Rockets.

EDGE Analysis

With Kristaps Porzingis sitting out, Marjanovic got to work, which he's often done before, but not with the same frequency as when the team was in the Orlando bubble. There's no way to determine when the team will elect to give Marjanovic a run, making him a frustrating option in fantasy formats. When he gets his opportunity, he's an FP-per-minute threat, but unfortunately, he doesn't see enough court time to be relevant.
