Wesley and the Trail Blazers agreed to a one-year deal on Tuesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Wesley spent the past three seasons in San Antonio, where he accumulated career regular-season averages of 4.3 points, 2.4 assists and 1.2 rebounds on 40.9 percent shooting from the field. He'll be facing an uphill battle for playing time in Portland, however.

He'll enter the final season of his contract in 2025-26, valued at $4.73 million.

Wesley produced 15 points (5-6 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes during Wednesday's 113-106 victory over Denver.

Wesley joined Malaki Branham and Sandro Mamukelashvili in scoring double-digit points off San Antonio's bench in Wednesday's win. Wesley has become a consistent part of the Spurs' rotation, averaging 20.2 minutes per contest across his last 10 appearances. The 22-year-old guard has also been very efficient from beyond the arc over that span, converting 47.6 percent of his 2.1 three-point attempts per contest.

Wesley accumulated five points (2-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-4 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals across 27 minutes during Sunday's 148-106 loss to the Warriors.

Wesley has been getting more opportunities with the Spurs, but his fantasy production has left a lot to be desired. Over his last eight games, Wesley has produced averages of 5.9 points, 2.3 assists, 1.8 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 0.9 three-pointers in 20.4 minutes.

Wesley closed Monday's 125-109 loss to the Lakers with seven points (3-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals in 22 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Wesley posted a solid all-around line in the loss, but lines like these have been few and far between -- he was coming off a scoreless outing in 10 minutes against the Pelicans on Saturday. The Spurs are 13th in the Western Conference and De'Aaron Fox (finger) is done for the season, so Wesley could find more opportunities down the stretch.

Although it was rookie first-rounder Stephon Castle who stepped into the starting lineup, it would appear initially that Wesley is also one of the direct beneficiaries of the absence of De'Aaron Fox (finger) for the remainder of 2024-25. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on Wesley's role moving ahead.

Wesley saw his largest workload of the season Tuesday and made the most of his minutes. However, the Spurs will be getting Devin Vassell (knee) back in action Wednesday, so Wesley will face an uphill battle for consistent minutes when the Spurs are close to full strength.

Wesley ended Thursday's 118-105 victory over the Trail Blazers with 10 points (4-4 FG, 2-2 FT), one rebound, eight assists and two steals in 21 minutes.

With Jeremy Sochan (thumb), Devin Vassell (foot) and Tre Jones (ankle) sidelined and Malaki Branham (ankle) leaving the contest early, Wesley saw an increased role and made the most of it, recording season highs in points, assists, steals and minutes played. It was only the fourth time Wesley played double-digit minutes this season, and despite the solid performance, he'll likely remain in a limited role. Sochan is expected to miss multiple weeks, but Vassell has been cleared to make his season debut Saturday, while Jones and Branham could be back sooner than later.
