Baron Davis left Game 4 on Sunday with a potentially devastating knee injury.
Davis left on a stretcher and replays of the injury are hard to watch -- it would be very surprising if he didn't do major damage to the knee. For now, the team will rely on Mike Bibby and Toney Douglas, with Jeremy Lin potentially available if New York forces Game 5.

Baron Davis is hoping to avoid offseason back surgery.
After his back stiffened up in Game 1, Davis said "this is definitely a problem." Boom Dizzle has struggled with back issues all season long, and the fact that his back continues to be problematic is not a good sign for his long-term health. He needed 10 months to recover from a herniated disc suffered last season, and surgery would likely sideline him indefinitely.

Baron Davis left for most of the first half in Monday's game due to back issues, but returned to start the second half and finished with 12 points, six assists, and two 3-pointers.
Davis is literally a sneeze away from being on the sidelines, and Mike Woodson is milking whatever he can get out of him. Mike Bibby played 21 minutes and the Heat didn't even bother to expose him on defense, but if the series were to become competitive that would be the first, second, and third things we would do if we had our way. Toney Douglas is cemented to the bench.

Baron Davis left Monday's Game 2 early with a back issue and his return is questionable.
Davis' back injury has been a major issue for him all year long, and it's likely to be a major factor for him for however long the Knicks are alive in the playoffs. Mike Bibby has come on to play the point, and it's unclear if the Knicks will just go without a point for stretches. Toney Douglas is not trusted by Mike Woodson.

Baron Davis (back) will start Monday's Game 2 against the Heat, as expected.
Davis' back tightened up during Game 1, but it's not a major issue. The bigger concern for the Knicks is that Davis will have to play more more minutes thanks to Iman Shumpert's season-ending knee injury. Davis managed 10 points and two assists in Game 1.

Baron Davis, who left Game 1 due to a stiff back, expects to be fine for Game 2 on Monday.
"Going into halftime, it was just a lot of banging, a collision I think kind of put my back in shock," said Baron. "But I should be all right." He threw himself into Dwyane Wade on an ill-advised steal attempt at one point (which may be the collision in question), and the reality is that he's always one play away from being sidelined.

Baron Davis' back tightened up and forced him out of Game 1 on Saturday -- he could have returned if necessary, but the game was already out of reach.
Baron finished with 10 points, two assists and three turnovers in 17 minutes. Iman Shumpert went down with a potentially serious knee injury, Tyson Chandler was limited by the flu, LeBron James played like a fancy-free MVP, and it's hard to imagine a worse start to the playoffs for New York.

Baron Davis (rest) is a candidate to sit out on Thursday against the Bobcats.
The Knicks will likely be without Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler as each rests, and it would be a good idea to get Boom Dizzle some rest as well. He's been battling a lingering hamstring injury, so Davis could very well benefit from some extra time off before the playoffs.

Baron Davis, who had missed the previous two games with the flu, returned to action on Sunday and posted a double-double, scoring 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting with 10 assists, two steals and four turnovers.
Davis played heavy minutes in his return (31), while backup point guard Mike Bibby only played five minutes. It's unclear if Davis will play in both of the Knicks remaining two games, but even if he does, his minutes will likely be limited. Start him at your own risk.

Baron Davis (flu) will return to action for the Knicks on Sunday.
Mike Bibby moves back to a bench role but the two veteran PGs are likely to split minutes most nights, and guards J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert are far more promising in fantasy leagues. Landry Fields will start at SF on Sunday, with Carmelo at PF, Amare at C and Tyson Chandler getting a day of rest.
