Davis finished Friday's 128-121 victory over Detroit with 38 points (10-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 18-21 FT), 16 rebounds, two assists, four blocks and one steal over 34 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Victories have been hard to come by for the Lakers, and notching wins is even harder without LeBron James' (thigh) services. If Davis can provide nights like this with more frequency, the Lakers have a much better chance to stay relevant as they move through the month without LeBron, though James does seem to be getting close to a return. Davis has delivered in James' absence, averaging 33 points, 16 rebounds, 2.3 blocked shots and 2.3 assists over the past three games.

Davis (back) will play in Friday's matchup with the Pistons, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis figures to be in for a healthy workload, as LeBron James (thigh) will miss his third straight contest. Look for Davis to be heavily involved on both ends of the floor assuming he avoids any setbacks.

Davis (back) is probable for Friday's game against the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
Davis continues to land on the injury report due to his back issue. The bigger news is that LeBron James (thigh) is questionable to return.

Davis produced 37 points (15-25 FG, 7-7 FT), 18 rebounds and two assists in 34 minutes during Sunday's 116-103 victory over the Nets.
EDGE Analysis
Davis had easily his best offensive outing thus far this season, leading the Lakers to a much-needed victory. Playing as the undisputed alpha on offense while LeBron James (back) was sidelined, Davis was unstoppable from the floor and also converted well at the charity stripe.

Davis (back) will be available for Sunday's game against the Nets, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis is perpetually banged up, but there's little reason to believe his status was ever in much jeopardy due to this back issue, which goes back to late October. Davis has only missed one game (Oct. 28 at MIN), but the Lakers have nonetheless included him on the injury report for their last eight contests. Chances are, Davis will continue to carry a designation most nights, but the back issue doesn't appear to be bothering him right now.

Davis (back) is probable for Sunday's game against the Nets, NBA writer Marc Stein reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis enters Sunday's injury report as probable due to lower back tightness, a lingering issue that routinely leads to such designation. With LeBron James (groin) doubtful for the contest, Davis could be tasked with a larger offensive role.

Davis amassed 24 points (8-17 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-11 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals in 34 minutes during Friday's 120-114 loss to the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Davis was dealing with an illness pregame, but he persevered and supplied a monster effort. He led all Lakers' starters in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and blocks. Friday marked his third consecutive contest with 20-plus points.

Davis (illness) is active for Friday's game against the Kings, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis was a game-time decision due to a non-covid illness but will in fact be available for Friday's game. With LeBron James (adductor) out, Davis will be tasked with being the primary offensive option against the Kings.

Davis (illness) is a game-time decision for Friday's contest against the Kings, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis participated in pregame warmups, but he will ultimately have his status determined closer to game time. With LeBron James (adductor) already out, the Lakers may have to call on some unlikely names to produce if Davis also misses.

Davis (back/illness) has been downgraded to questionable for Friday's game against the Kings due to a non-COVID illness, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis was initially considered probable for the contest, but it appears his status for Friday's game is now up in the air due to an illness. If Davis ultimately doesn't play, Wenyen Gabriel would likely draw the start at center in his absence. With LeBron James (adductor) sidelined, the Lakers' depth will certainly be tested if Davis is unable to go.
