Davis (calf) is starting Sunday's game against Phoenix.
EDGE Analysis
Davis was probable with a right calf strain, so it's not very surprising to see him in the lineup. He should continue to see plenty of work with LeBron James (ankle) unavailable.

Davis (calf) is probable for Sunday's game against the Suns, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis is listed with a right calf strain, but he should be available on Sunday, barring any setbacks. He's coming off his best statistical performance since returning to the lineup in late April, posting 36 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and one block across 39 minutes in Friday's loss to Portland. The Lakers will continue to rely heavily on Davis until LeBron James (ankle) is able to return.

Davis tallied 36 points (12-23 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 10-15 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists and one blocked shot across 39 minutes in Friday's loss to Portland.
EDGE Analysis
The struggling Lakers slipped to seventh place in the Western Conference with the loss despite Davis' valiant effort. The big man registered his highest point and rebound total since returning from an extended absence April 22. In fact, his 36 points accounted for his second-highest total overall this season. Davis could see copious playing time down the stretch as Los Angeles attempts to avoid participating in the postseason play-in tournament. That could help him boost mildly disappointing per-game season averages of 21.3 points, 7.9 boards, 1.2 steals and 1.8 blocks.

Davis (back) is starting Friday's game against the Trail Blazers, Mike Trudell of the Lakers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis left Thursday's game against the Clippers in the first quarter due to back spasms, but he was confident in his ability to start Friday. Davis should continue to handle a significant role for the Lakers with LeBron James (ankle) and Dennis Schroder (COVID-19 protocols) unavailable.

Davis (back) expects to start Friday at Portland, Kyle Goon of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old played only nine minutes Thursday against the Clippers as he battled back spasms, but he doesn't believe the injury will prevent him from taking the court Friday. The Lakers can ill afford to be without Davis since LeBron James (ankle) and Dennis Schroder (COVID-19 protocols) are already ruled out as they attempt to secure their playoff positioning.

Davis won't return to Thursday's matchup with the Clippers due to back spasms, Mike Trudell of the Lakers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis reportedly suffered back spasms sometime during the first half of Thursday's contest. This will be a mighty blow to the Lakers if Davis needs time off once again, as the forward recently returned from missing 30 straight games from Feb. 16 to April 19 due to a calf injury. The Lakers' next game is Friday against Portland, and Davis should presumably be a game-time call until more news regarding or confirming his status surfaces. The former Kentucky Wildcat posted four points in nine minutes before exiting Thursday.

Davis (calf) is available for Thursday's game against the Clippers.
EDGE Analysis
Davis is good to go, as expected after he was initially listed with a 'probable' designation. The forward hasn't been his usual self since coming back from a calf injury, but with LeBron James (ankle) out Thursday and Friday, the Lakers will be relying on him as much as ever. Davis is only averaging 17.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.0 steals since returning to the lineup.

Davis (calf) is probable for Thursday's game against the Clippers, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis is expected to play Thursday after being ruled probable for his eighth straight game. The forward has struggled since returning from his calf injury, averaging only 17.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.0 steals. Expect the 28-year-old to have an even more important role for the Lakers on Thursday, as LeBron James (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday.

Davis finished with 25 points (9-19 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-7 FT), seven rebounds, three blocks and an assist across 33 minutes in Monday's 93-89 win over the Nuggets.
EDGE Analysis
LeBron James (ankle) took a seat on the back-to-back, leaving Davis to carry the load for the Lakers. He delivered in stellar fashion by making key plays on both ends of the floor. With 33 minutes on the court, it appears that his injury is largely behind him, but it wouldn't be surprising for the team to rest him over the next couple of weeks to keep him fresh for the playoffs.

Davis (calf) is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against Denver, Harrison Faigen of Silver Screen and Roll reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Davis, although bothered with a lingering right calf strain, will play and start his seventh straight matchup since returning. The forward is currently averaging 21.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists over 29 games played.
