His best showing came in a loss to Houston on Mar. 14, when he grabbed 15 boards and put up 12 points, albeit on 5-of-17 shooting. Stepheson did not play in either of the Grizzlies' last two games, however, an indication that coach Dave Joerger may not have been particularly impressed with his performance.

Stepheson recorded 12 points (5-17 FG, 2-8 FT) and 15 rebounds in 25 minutes during the Grizzlies' 130-81 loss to the Rockets on Monday.

Stepheson managed to foul out in just 25 minutes of action, but he also turned in a strong double-double with career highs in scoring and rebounding. Through two games with the Grizzlies, he is averaging eight points, 10.5 rebounds, one assist, one block, and 0.5 steals in 22 minutes per contest. However, it's unlikely those minutes will remain steady once some of the team's veterans start to get healthy.

Stepheson's second 10-day deal with the Clippers is set to expire over the weekend, and Los Angeles has already announced that it will not sign Stephenson for the remainder of the season. As a result, Memphis will be able to bring him in on a 10-day deal after receiving an injury hardship exception with a number of key players unavailable. It's unclear exactly when Stepheson will officially join the team, but he's not expected to be available Saturday.
