Plesac (0-1) gave up one run on four hits and one walk while striking out seven through seven innings to take the loss against the White Sox on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac was dominant most of the game, but a solo home run from Tim Anderson was enough to hang the loss on the 24-year-old. While his debut was encouraging, this was an impressive performance that could boost his ownership percentage in deeper leagues. The right-hander has a 0-1 record with a 1.46 ERA and 9:2 K:BB through two starts. Plesac will get his next start Saturday at home against the Yankees.

Plesac is scheduled to make his second start for the Indians on Sunday against the White Sox, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Plesac will keep his spot in the rotation after acquitting himself well in his MLB debut at Fenway Park on Tuesday. Plesac navigated the tough matchup effectively, taking a no-decision while limiting the Red Sox to one run on four hits and a walk over 5.1 innings. Though he might eventually get exposed by his lack of a deep arsenal, Plesac's ability to consistently throw strikes and command his mid-90s fastball and changeup effectively makes him a worthy speculative pickup in AL-only and deeper mixed leagues where he's available.

Plesac allowed one run on four hits with two strikeouts and a walk across 5.1 innings in a no-decision against the Red Sox on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old didn't offer much in terms of strikeouts, but his major league debut went quite well. He was very sharp, throwing 57 of his 86 pitches for strikes, including 15 called strikes. He allowed just two extra-base hits, one of which was a triple to the last batter he faced. That runner scored against the Indians bullpen, and was the only run Plesac allowed. After this strong performance, it's possible Plesac sees another MLB start, especially with Corey Kluber (forearm) and Mike Clevinger (back) still on the injured list.

Plesac was recalled as expected Tuesday ahead of his scheduled start against Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac owns an excellent 1.41 ERA through nine starts at the two highest levels of the minors this season, striking out 26.3 percent of opposing starters while walking just 3.3 percent. He hadn't been considered much of a prospect his season, but he's seen his fastball velocity tick up this year and has thrown plenty of strikes. Josh Smith was optioned to Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move.
