Plesac was recalled from Triple-A Columbus and will start Tuesday's game against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac will return to the big leagues Tuesday and figures to slot in as the Indians' fifth starter moving forward. He made eight starts with Cleveland prior to his demotion July 6, posting a 4.00 ERA over 45 innings, though he did get roughed up in his last major-league outing against the Royals, giving up three runs over just 2.2 innings of work.

The Indians will recall Plesac from Triple-A Columbus to start Tuesday's game against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Cleveland sent Plesac to the minors July 6 following his eighth big-league start, which provided the team with some extra roster flexibility since its schedule allowed for a shortened rotation. The rookie will now move back up to the majors with the Indians requiring a fifth starter for the first time during the second half. Plesac acquitted himself well during his first callup period, posting a 4.00 ERA and 1.18 WHIP over 45 innings.

Plesac was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac was optioned in order to make room for Greg Allen to return to Cleveland. This is unlikely to effect Plesac's status in the rotation, as he was not scheduled to pitch again prior to the All-Star break. The right-hander has managed a 4.00 ERA and 1.18 WHIP with 33 strikeouts across 45 innings this season.

Plesac conceded three runs on three hits with three walks and one strikeout over just 2.2 innings versus the Royals on Thursday. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac's day came to an abrupt end when he was removed from the game in the third inning after throwing 58 pitches. The start of the game was delayed two and a half hours due to weather and the wet conditions probably impacted the 24-year-old considering he threw 32 strikes compared to 26 balls. This is now the second start in a row where Plesac has made an early exit due to a poor performance. The right-hander had a very respectable 2.33 ERA over his first six starts, a stretch which included matchups against the high-powered offenses like the Yankees and Red Sox, but his ERA has ballooned to a 4.00 over the last two starts. With no established return dates for aces Corey Kluber (forearm) and Carlos Carrasco (blood condition), Plesac figures to stick in the rotation regardless of whether or not he is struggling.

Plesac (3-3) took the loss Saturday versus the Orioles after surrendering seven runs on seven hits over 3.2 innings. He struck out four and walked two.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac allowed only one run through the first three frames, but Baltimore erupted for six runs in the fourth inning to end his afternoon. It's the first time since joining the Indians in late May he failed to pitch at least five innings. The 24-year-old has a 3.61 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 32:14 K:BB through his first seven major-league starts.

Plesac (3-2) allowed one run on five hits with a walk and two strikeouts across seven innings to earn a victory against the Tigers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
In four of his six major-league starts this season, Plesac has yielded only one run. However, he may be playing with fire. Plesac owns a .194 batting average against, but he also has a 4.93 FIP. He was also permitting a 35.7 percent hard contact rate coming into Sunday. While that isn't poor, it's a bigger factor because Plesac isn't a strikeout pitcher. Still, he's 3-2 with a 2.33 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 28 strikeouts in 38.2 innings across six starts. Plesac will look to keep this strong start going at the Orioles on Saturday.

Plesac (2-2) allowed one earned run on two hits and five walks while striking out six across seven innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac allowed only a solo home run to Rougned Odor in a bounce-back effort after allowing four earned runs in his previous start. He retired 11 batters via flyball, and did manage to whiff six batters on the strength 16 called strikes and 10 swinging strikes. Plesac has proven effective through his first five major-league starts, racking up a 2.56 ERA and 0.98 WHIP with 26 strikeouts across 31.2 innings. He'll look to keep things going in his next start, currently scheduled for Sunday against Detroit.

Plesac (1-2) allowed four runs on five hits with six strikeouts and two walks across 5.1 innings while taking a loss against the Reds on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie allowed three homers, which was more long balls than he yielded in his first three MLB starts combined. Even though they were all solo shots, it was enough to hand him the loss. Despite this loss, Plesac has still pitched pretty well at the major-league level. He is 1-2 with a 2.92 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 20 strikeouts in 24.2 innings through four starts. Plesac will face the Rangers on the road in his next start Tuesday.

Plesac (1-1) picked up the win in Friday's 5-2 victory over the Yankees, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk over seven innings while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
In a nice bit of symmetry, the young right-hander's first MLB win came against the Yankees and his first MLB loss was to the White Sox, mirroring the first decisions his uncle Dan Plesac recorded in 1986. The younger Plesac will take a 1.86 ERA and 14:3 K:BB through 19.1 innings into his next start Wednesday, at home against the Reds.

Plesac will start Friday against the Yankees, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac last took the mound Sunday against the White Sox, so he'll be on his normal amount of rest for Friday's start. The 24-year-old has held his own through a pair of starts with the big club thus far, compiling a 1.46 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 9:2 K:BB in 12.1 innings of work.
