It was the ninth time the talented young shortstop has led off a contest with a long ball this year, establishing a team franchise record. EDGE Analysis

X-rays didn't reveal any structural damage, and the 24-year-old shortstop has been given the green light to play in Friday's series opener. Neto has gone 12-for-40 (.300) with one steal, five runs, four homers and nine RBI over his last 10 games.

Angels interim manager Ray Montgomery said after Wednesday's win over the Reds that Neto is "fine" after X-rays came back negative on his left wrist, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
EDGE Analysis
Neto was hit by a pitch on his left wrist in the bottom of the third inning and was later removed from the game in the top of the sixth after he didn't look comfortable in his plate appearance in the previous inning. Oswald Peraza replaced Neto at shortstop, but it sounds like Neto is day-to-day with the Angels headed into an off day Thursday ahead of weekend set with the Cubs.

Neto was removed from Wednesday's game against the Reds in the top of the sixth inning after he was hit by a pitch on the left hand earlier in the contest, Andres Soto of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Angels announced Neto is dealing with left wrist soreness. Neto was hit by a pitch in the third inning and didn't look comfortable in his following plate appearance in the bottom of the fifth. Oswald Peraza took over at shortstop in place of Neto in the top of the sixth. Prior to leaving, Neto went 0-for-2 at the dish. Consider him day-to-day for now, but Neto will presumably undergo further testing on his hand and wrist. The Angels have an off day Thursday ahead of a weekend home series against the Cubs.
