The Orioles placed Eflin on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with right shoulder inflammation.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin had shown no signs of his shoulder bothering him, having turned in four straight quality starts with a 2.13 ERA since joining the Orioles. He had been in line to make his fifth start Wednesday versus the Mets but instead will be sidelined for at least the next couple weeks. Cade Povich has been recalled from Triple-A Norfolk and should slide into Eflin's rotation spot.

Eflin (9-7) picked up the win over the Red Sox on Thursday, allowing one run on five hits over six innings while striking out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin allowed hits in four of his six innings of work but managed to keep Boston's offense at bay, aside from a leadoff homer by Wilyer Abreu to open the fourth. The right-hander induced 12 whiffs on the night and racked up a season-high eight strikeouts while not issuing a free pass for the second time in his last four starts. Eflin is now 4-0 since being acquired by the Orioles, logging quality starts in all four outings. Through three starts this month he carries a 1.40 ERA to go along with a robust 18:2 K:BB.

Eflin (8-7) earned the win Friday over the Rays, allowing four hits and one walk over seven shutout innings. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
It was a dominant performance from Eflin against his former club. The right-hander has won all three of his outings with Baltimore with three quality starts, allowing just five runs in 19.1 innings in that span. Eflin's ERA is down to 3.83 with a 1.15 WHIP and 104:15 K:BB in 22 starts (129.1 innings) between the Orioles and Rays. He's lined up for a home matchup with the Red Sox next week in his next time out.

Eflin (7-7) earned the win over Cleveland on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out three batters over 6.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin didn't overwhelm -- he recorded a modest nine whiffs and three punchouts -- but the only runs he allowed came on a two-run homer by Angel Martinez in the third inning. The right-handed hurler has won both of his outings since joining Baltimore via a trade with Tampa Bay at the deadline; prior to the deal, he had gone three straight starts without a victory. Eflin also has recorded consecutive quality starts since joining the Orioles, as many as he had accumulated in his previous 11 appearances combined prior to the trade.

Eflin (6-7) earned the win against Toronto in the first game of Monday's doubleheader, allowing three runs on 10 hits and no walks while striking out seven betters over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
After being acquired in a trade with Tampa Bay on Friday, Eflin got the ball for Game 1 of Monday's twin bill. The right-hander wasn't at his sharpest, as he gave up a season-high 10 hits, but he was able to go just deep enough and pitch just well enough to pick up both a quality start and a victory. Eflin also tied his campaign high with seven punchouts while inducing 12 whiffs. His next start is tentatively slated to come in Cleveland this weekend.

Eflin will make his Orioles debut in Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin will toe the rubber for the first game Monday as he looks to get his tenure with Baltimore off to a strong start. He last pitched Wednesday, coincidentally versus Toronto, surrendering two runs over 5.2 innings while striking out four batters. In four starts in July, the right-hander has produced a 4.76 ERA and 1.32 WHIP with 18 strikeouts over 22.2 frames.

Eflin is scheduled to start during Monday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays, and he expects to take the ball in Game 2, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Baltimore hasn't officially announced their starters for the twin bill, but Eflin appears set to pitch in the matinee. The right-hander was officially added to the active roster Sunday after being acquired from Tampa Bay on Friday. The 30-year-old posted a 4.09 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 87:13 K:BB in 110 innings across 19 starts for the Rays prior to being traded.

The Orioles are acquiring Eflin from the Rays on Friday in exchange for minor-league outfielder Matthew Etzel, pitcher Jackson Baumeister and outfielder Mac Horvath, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander allowed two runs over 5.2 frames in a no-decision Wednesday in Toronto, and that will end up being his final start for Tampa Bay. Eflin posted a 3.50 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 186:24 K:BB over a career-high 177.2 innings last season, though he's been unable to replicate those results this year and has a 4.09 ERA through 19 starts. The 30-year-old brings some stability to an injury-ravaged Baltimore rotation is also under contract for 2025 at $18 million.

Eflin allowed two runs on six hits and struck out four without walking a batter over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Blue Jays on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin had some trouble early on, allowing an RBI single in the first inning and a solo home run in the third, both to Vladimir Guerrero. After that, Eflin settled in, and the Rays were able to get him off the hook by the time he exited the contest. The right-hander has allowed two or fewer runs in just three of his last seven outings as he contends with a tough part of the schedule. He's now at a 4.09 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 87:13 K:BB through 110 innings over 19 starts on the year. Eflin is projected for a favorable home matchup versus the Marlins next week.

Eflin (5-7) took the loss Friday against the Yankees, allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The Rays right-hander labored in Yankee Stadium, issuing a season-worst four walks. Before this outing, Eflin hadn't granted four free passes in an appearance since Sept. 23, 2019, when a member of the Phillies' rotation. After opening the season with a 3.75 ERA across his first eight starts, the 30-year-old hasn't been as sharp over his last 10 outings, pitching to a 4.47 ERA and 44:9 K:BB in 56.1 innings. Eflin is currently scheduled to make his next start against the Blue Jays in Toronto.
